Happy Wednesday, y’all! Today’s edition is a whole mishmash of things because why the heck not.
Today is all Inauguration Day. Stay safe everyone and I hope this is a sign of better things to come, though I feel like that’s a long road.
Let’s get into it!

Just bask in the purity of a young Keanu Reeves as a junior reporter for the CBC.

I loved this thread of authors and book people sharing their wedding dresses and fashions!

No one is really wearing makeup right now, but Colourpop is collaborating with Animal Crossing for a collection, which releases January 28th.

Tag yourself. I’m Chaotic Good.

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!
It is unfair to determine my alignment by using fried potato preferences. I <3 them all!
So what does my love of homefries make me?
Where are the fries smothered in chili, cheese, and jalapeños, topped with sour cream and/or ranch dressing? That would be me.
Oh—and am I the only person who found myself crying several times today?
Noel Fielding as cakes! https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1310876452678705153.html
I too love home fries and nacho fries! But. What about potato wedges, hashbrowns, potato pancakes??
Chaotic evil all the way.
And @Triple D, no, you’re not, although I maintained until that moment of silence.
@DiscoDollyDeb- you are definitely not the only one crying (particularly every time they announced Madame Vice President)!!
Your reactions are the same ones my friends had when I made them choose.
@DDD not at all! I wasn’t expecting to, but I sobbed and could not stop for a solid 15 mins…
@DDD, solidarity. I cried a lot today – relief, happiness, more relief. So many big feelings.
@DDD, I even cried watching the woman who signed the Pledge of Allegiance.
As a Latina, watching two women of color, Justice Sotomayor swearing in VP Harris, was moving beyond measure. I watched that several times throughout the day and teared up every time. I was overcome with relief, hope, and joy.
@D3, many tears. Such a relief.
Are you calling all of Canada Evil? Routine is anything but. We take three separate elements and bring them together in harmony.
Cruel to remind me of how much I miss the delicious cheese fries made with provolone I used to get when I lived in Philly. Sob.
Those photos of animals interrupting photographers made my day, however.
Lawful evil all the way. I have a bag of Ore-Ida crinkle cut in the freezer at all times. They even make single serving boxes that go in the microwave for $1 and they come out crispy.
