Help A Bitch Out - SOLVED!

HaBO: Hero Has a Reckless Driver

You did it! We figured this one out! It is a truth universally acknowledged (by me for certain) that the Bitchery pretty much knows everything, and really, it's true. Scroll down to see the solution for this HaBO - and many thanks!

This HaBO comes from Kristen, who is trying to find this romance:

I have a vague memory of a book I’m hoping the brilliant readers of SBTB may be able to help uncover.

All I can recall with any clarity is a chunk of the ending – the hero has a driver/partner/bodyguard who drives like a maniac. At the end of the book the heroine and hero are in the car, and the driver is suddenly the most cautious in the land, I think due to the couple’s newborn baby being in the car. Or perhaps the heroine was pregnant-  something like that.

I think there was a suspense/mystery element, and it’s something I read around early 2000’s maybe? But I could be off on that date.

I scoured my old books, my kindle, all to no avail – any ideas appreciated!

Sound familiar to the Bitchery?

Judith McNaught’s “Paradise” ends with a scene like that

    Yes, Judith McNaught, definitely.

Could it be Dangerous Passion by Lisa Marie Rice? I think that scenario is in the epilogue.

I think it’s Paradise by Judith McNaught. She had just found out she was pregnant.

Definitely Joe O’Hara, the chauffeur/ bodyguard to Matt Farrell in Paradise. GREAT book and totally worthy of a re-read,if you have tissues handy and a big enough block of time to read 700+ pages! Sigh, I really miss Judith McNaught.

  7. Kristen says:

Holy cannoli, that was fast!! Thank you all, it 100% is Paradise by Judith McNaught!! My brain can rest easy tonight

Moonlighter just came out though, it’s not an early 2000 book

  9. MMVZ says:

You can read Paradise in Kindle Unlimited at the moment, at least in Canada
