Happy Seventh Night of Hanukkah!
I love how each night gets brighter and brighter in my house.
It’s almost time to make s’mores over the menorot! (Kidding – the candles aren’t quite hot enough for that. Ask me how I know!)

OMG – who can remember years anymore?? I’ve found so much – Love Lettering, Chloe Brown, Real Men Knit, Jackie Lau, Blacksmith Queen. . . SBTB has turned me on to so many authors over the years. My all time favorite – Anne Bishop.
Too many! Most recently, I think, “The Flatmate.”
The bitchery helped me discover Murderbot and I’ll be forever grateful for it. I also discovered Silver in the Wood and Evvie Drake Starts over which I also loved.
I really enjoyed the Consortium Rebellion sci-fi romance series by Jessie Mihalik.
Love Lettering
So so many books — you all have been an indispensable resource, especially this year.
Paladin’s Grace is the first one that comes to mind.
One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London
Another vote for Gideon the Ninth…oh, and Strange Love
Paladin’s Grace by T. Kingfisher!
There are two SBTB discoveries vying for my #1 this year: The Ten Thousand Doors of January, and Take a Hint, Dani Brown.
Lindy West’s SHIT, ACTUALLY gave me the belly laughs I thought I’d never have this year, plus several moments where I felt like I’d time-traveled back to the mid-’90s where my smartaleck movie buff best friend would riff on movies (I recommended this to her, don’t know if she’s read it yet).
Not for me, but after reading the review here of Hench, it sounded perfect for someone I knew, I gave it to them for their birthday, and they LOVED it. So, thanks!
I sound like a broken record but I am 99% sure I read about the Consortium Rebellion Series on this site.
The Murderbot series by Martha Wells
I must admit that I subscribe to this list as a librarian. I do not like romances and do not read them.
Everything by T. Kingfisher!
Sleeping Giants (Themis Files, #1) Neuvel, Sylvain I gave it 5 stars and I almost never do that
To Have and To Hoax by Martha Waters. Such a great read, and I’d never heard of her before I saw the rec on SBTB-thanks!
In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren
Love Lettering! Perfect fit with my bullet journal!
All Systems Red and the rest of the Murderbot series – THANK YOU – I would never have found it otherwise.
Beach Read by Emily Henry
The Lion’s Den by Katherine St John! Maybe not the best book I read but the most fun. And has the distinction of being the first Bad Decisions Book Club book for me this year.
There are WAY too many to name but Lover Lettering by Kate Clayborn is what jumps to mind!
The Happy Ever After Playlist and subsequent cake pron
In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren
Milla Vane Series. Love them!
I get most of my book recos from this site! This year I really loved the Talía Hibbert brown sisters series, Helen Hoangs the bride test, Simone st James sundown motel, evvie drake starts over by Linda Holmes…. oops started going through my list of books I read this year and how does one choose? Thank you for top tier content always!
I am PRETTY sure I got Hidden Promises by Synithia Williams because of a SMTB post. Loved the fictional NC town and businesses she created for this book and of course the love story!
I just finished Flirting with Pete, which was a HABO and loved it! I was sad to send it back to the library.
+1 for Paladin’s Grace by T. Kingfisher!
So many! But most recently, Ten Things I Hate About the Duke by Loretta Chase.
Saw Amanda Sellet’s By the Book in a cover awe post and loved it!
So many! One that stands out was The Rakess. I had shied away from prior Scarlett Peckham because I don’t like BDSM, but loved The Rakess after reading the review here!
I wish I could remember which awesome commenter recommended Jean Merrill’s The Girl from the Diadem, because I finally got my hands on a used copy and enjoyed it so much!!!
Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn
Masquerade at Lodi!
I love Penric 😀
I believe I finally picked up a Jackie Lau book this fall because of Smart Bitches! I have read so little this year because of grad school, I could probably have a more definitive answer by mentioning the many, many books I’ve added to my TBR list from the site!
The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang. It was so much fun!
The Duke Who Didn’t by Courtney Milan
