Oh this is a tough one, I would have to say the heaps of twinings peppermint tea I go through? I think I pay .50 per bag but I go through it like crazy! If anyone has a lead on bulk size boxes HMU! Haha
I find so many treasures for under $5 thrifting. I think my most precious find is a brass sleigh with reindeer attached I paid $4 for.
I love reading all the answers to these unique questions <3
Cards from Trader Joe’s – great designs and only .99 each!
my hand sanitizer from Bath & Body in Cinnamon Pumpkin Spice, naturally, in this time of Covid! Best ever smell, I’m transported every time I put it on.
My friend gave me a purse hook keyring, and it’s the most practical, useful cheapie gadget in the history of ever–backpack, purse, tote–I can actually find my keys on the first attempt.
My best friend and I buy each other peanut M&ms when we’re stressed. It’s the best. Thanks for the giveaway!
A small glass figurine named Precious Pup. I apparently got it as a present before my brother was born and I’ve had it ever since (40+ years)
So I love to scrapbook. About a year ago I bought a little plastic 3d printed stand for my glue bottle. It holds the bottle upside down so the glue is always ready to go. It sounds silly, but I love my little glue stand
Chocolate for me! Most recently it’s the winter version of Cadbury mini-eggs.
I forgot to say, “Happy Hanukkah!”
Eczema Honey lip balm is amazing. I don’t have eczema, but my lips get so dry in the winter and some lip balms clog the pores around my mouth, etc. Eczema Honey is worth every penny (I bought just bought 6 tubes for at a discount off the regular price of $6.99, which technically brings them under $5)
Oooh, lots of things, but for now i guess I’ll have to go with face masks and purse-size hand sanitizer.
(Normally, I might say Wet Ones sanitizing hand wipes. Pre-pandemic, I used to really go thru them. Good luck finding them now!)
Probably the coffee creamer my coworkers and I get for ourselves to go with our morning coffee. Or the occasional (but totally worth it) egg and cheese sandwich from the cart outside of my office building.
Picture of my daughter in a little ‘purse’ frame. My daughter decided she needed to wear a crown for Christmas that year and every time I look at that picture, I smile. The crown and the frame were under $5 at Claire’s.
My face mask, so I can go to work and get my errands done. I can’t wait to not need them ever again!
Do free things count? Then I’d say library cards!
Chocolate. Definitely chocolate.
Lip balm – any but Burt’s Bees is my favorite. I use it many times a day!
My trusty, ever-present wrist hair tie and a tube of chapstick!
Pony tail bands that keep my hair away from my face.
My lip balm.
Right here, next to me: a quart canning jar. This one is a Ball. I love my quart jars. Not only do I can in them (tomatoes, pickles), I store food, toys, spare change, etc., in them. I make sun tea in them. I drink out of them. I have made sprouts in them. They can hold water for water colors for the kids. With their lids, they are waterproof and air tight. I have a quart jar that someone filled with potpourri and fairy lights that makes a great night light and smells good. Oh, and salads for work. And refrigerator oatmeal.
Better stop now but you get the idea.
I’m firmly in the Chapstick crowd. Nothing worse than dry or chapped lips!
My library card, especially this year.
Bobby pins!
Especially the matte ones as they seem to have better grip than the shiny ones. I’ve been using bobby pins to pull my hair up/back for the past couple years and I have so much less breakage than when I was using ponytails. It’s wild how much of a difference they make!
Nail file and mini manicure kit. You never know when you need nail clippers or tweezers.
A small tube of Aquaphor. INVALUABLE especially in the winter!
my BIC 4-Color Ballpoint Pen. I love them!!
Lip balm for the win! I just got a Burts Bees honey lavender lip butter that has a nifty push top lid that’s so easy to open compared to other tins and is lovely to put on, especially now in winter
My mother bought me a gumby-like cow when I was a senior in high school. I set it up on the dash of my car and it has been riding with me for over 40 years.
I have a little metal thingy on my key chain that disperses static electricity so I don’t shock myself. I touch everything with it!
Chapstick, especially with the colder weather now!
My size 5.0mm crochet hook. One of the most used sizes and it allows me to pay attention during meetings.
Someone already mentioned these, but it’s totally true: hair ties!
Vaseline!! I use it for my lips, instead of lipstick or lipgloss. I don’t know know what I would do if they stopped making it-perish the thought…
Small pocket notebooks and 3×5 cards on a ring.
And a writing utensil, of course.
A chai latte. There have been some serious need a chai days this year.
Those little metal clicky hair clip thingies…Covid-19 means I haven’t had a haircut since last January, and I’ve never had long hair before. Now I understand why all my childhood friends with long hair had those damn things everywhere! They are the only things keeping my hair out of my face.
Hair ties
Mine is a tie between lip balm, hair elastics, and face mask holder.
