Happy Fifth Night of Hanukkah! I’m really excited about today’s giveaway prize. I use mine all the time.
Today’s prize is: Sudio Fem bluetooth earbuds!
I have a pair of them and use them constantly. I use them for yoga which I do with an app on my phone, and when I’m sewing and want to listen to music or podcasts. The case charges them, so in between uses they are topped up, and there’s a light indicator on the front to tell you when to charge up the case.
My favorite thing is that once they were paired with my phone, when I take them out of the case, they activate and re-connect to my phone automatically. Since I usually work out first thing in the morning, and am often in my pjs, not having to fiddle with buttons is wonderful.
Want some specs?
- 20 hours total playtime on a full charge
- Ambient noise reduction with microphones on each earbud
- You can use one or both
- Comes with four sizes of earbud to get a good fit
- Bluetooth range of 10m
Want to enter? Yay!

I’ve been listening to select episodes of Your Wrong About because they are somehow deeply comforting. Also a lot of Karliene Reynolds.
Podcasts, downloaded books, musical theater while cooking, cleaning, working. My family rarely sees me without earbuds!
The podcast ‘My Dad wrote a porno’. Constant giggles!
Swindled
This year has been the year of Romance podcasts. I’ve tried a lot of them, but mostly I’ve listened to a couple hundred back episodes of yours: Smart Podcast, Trashy Books.
I’ve listened to more podcasts than ever this year, but the thing I loved most was an audiobook of The Luminaries.
Podcasts are my Jam but I love listening to Audiobooks too especially Biographies read by the author.
Podcasts. Sbtb, by the book, the British history podcast. Recently started heaving bosoms and learning the tropes.
This year I discovered the podcast You’re Wrong About, which delves into the truth behind sensational news stories of the past few decades, especially the maligned women.
I had two playlists that helped me through the year. One was upbeat and hopeful and titled “Gonna Be OK”; and the other, for days when I needed to lean in to the awfulness around us, was called “Sad is OK Too.”
My “Get Shit Done” playlist on Spotify was on repeat the entire summer as I prepped for a cross-country move. Would have gotten nothing done without it.
I am listening to Beirut constantly at the moment. Their music is my comfort noise in these times.
Audio books have been such a lifesaver when I’ve struggled to find an ebook that captures my attention this weird year. I’ve listened to more audio then ever before since I can listen when doing other things.
I like to get up early on Saturday mornings and do my “intensive cooking” for the week (this week it was lentil soup in the Instapot—my favorite new kitchen appliance—and banana nut bread, where I was assisted by my daughter, “Queen Victoria,” who posted a comment here for the first time over the weekend—she really loved that powder blue Kate Spade bag) and I usually listen to the week’s Smart Bitches podcast while I’m working.
Murder podcasts, the usually-not-murder-related podcasts Stuff You Should Know (general knowledge), History of English (language) and American Girls (about the book series), a whole lot of k-pop (BTS, Day 6, and IU especially), and, for the past two or three months, Thai indie rock, so much that it ended up fourth on my Spotify rankings (my favorites are Scrubb and Anatomy Rabbit).
I enjoyed hearing my white noise machine going at night. It let me sleep with fewer “interruptions” during the night.
Definitely audiobooks! I’m going through Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series again. Love those Scottish (and English, French, Irish, Native American, etc.) accents!
I spent a good chunk of October listening to the Music Choice Sounds of the Seasons channel. Then I was horribly betrayed at around 12:02 AM November 1 when it abruptly swapped to Christmas music. But the Halloween stuff made me incredibly happy.
Taylor Swift’s folklore, over and over again. Definitely my pandemic comfort music of choice.
I’ve been listening to a lot of health and wellness podcasts and meditations.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Usually I would say a podcast- I really love Hit Parade from Slate! But this year my best listen was The City We Became by NK Jemisin on audiobook. Robin Miles’ recording was a chef’s kiss of a listen.
As much traveling as I do for my job, podcasts and audiobooks have been a lifeline for me–romance podcasts and snarky movie review podcasts are my favorites. As for audiobooks–yes, please! My favorite audiobook this year was The Duke Who Didn’t, with Shit, Actually being a close second!
My favourite podcast is probably On Being with Krista Tippet. It’s like spending some time with the best parts of humanity – the opposite of “news”; deep thinking and feeling; connective and soothing.
I love listening to podcasts on knitting and books.
Orville Peck.
Just finished listening to the audiobook BOYFRIEND MATERIAL last night. I had tried the first chapter of the ebook a couple of months ago and returned it immediately (just couldn’t get into it), but when I read that it was rated as #1 in a list of top 2020 audiobooks, I gave it another go. The audiobook was totally different and exceptionally done. Joe Jameson is a phenomenal narrator.
In a normal year I usually have a few trips scheduled – but they all were canceled this year. So I’ve been listening to the backlist of Travelogue by Condé Nast Traveler magazine instead while dreaming of future trips!
The only consistent audio I listen to is ocean sounds, to help me sleep. This year, in particular, has jumbled me up, but thankfully I can get at least a good 6-hour sleep now!
Listening to jazz streaming radio kept me chill while working from home. KCSM, from San Francisco, is my current favorite.
I discovered the Red-Handed Podcast this year. It’s been quite the helper at the walking park. And now I want a shirt that says “NOT IN THIS ECONOMY”.
Nothing like listening to murder podcasts to fill me with Christmas cheer! 🙂 Thanks for the holiday giveaways.
I love podcasts such as the Oath but mainly I have been listening to comfort reads by Ilona Andrews, Joanna Bourne, and Tessa Dare.
I found Ghost of a Podcast this year and love it.
Besides SBTB, the podcasts I listened to most were Preet Bharara and Uncivil, but “You’re Wrong About” is definitely on my TBL list.
I fell in love with “Who Weekly” – pretty sure I’ve listened to around 250 hours of it! I love that I don’t have to remember much and the hosts feel like friends!
I listened to Taylor Swift’s folklore album soooo many times this fall.
Definitely coming back to this thread for podcast recs!
Music and podcasts. Right now specifically my Spotify wrapped playlist, Taylor Swift’s tis the damn season, and a four episode podcast from last year for the anniversary of Definitely Maybe by Oasis.
I am listening to podcasts. All of them. News, romance, true crime, science, politics. So many in so many categories
This was the year I really started getting into podcasts. My favorites right now are probably Home Cooking and Unlocking Us.
