There isn’t very much that I remember of this book but it was one of the first romances that I read and I kept it hidden under my bed.
The hero and heroine meet at a party at his house, and have sex in his basement where he makes jewelry. The hero’s mother is a B movie actress.

@Cristie: I keep looking at the title thinking the words need to be re-ordered. Basement Jewelry Sex? Sex Basement Jewelry? They all conjure up some pretty weird imagery for me. LOL.
It’s definitely not the book Amy is looking for, but I remember reading a Barbara Michaels thriller in HS where the love interest was a jeweler. The heroine starts out thinking he’s a grumpy jerk but is totally into his jewelry designs. So maybe not a completely unique hero profession…
