  • The Boyfriend Project

The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon

The Boyfriend Project by Farrah Rochon is $1.99! This is another KDD, which includes a few other romance options. Maya reviewed this one and wasn’t quite sold on the hero. However, if you’ve been waiting for this to go on sale, now’s the time to grab it!

USA Today bestselling author Farrah Rochon launches a new series about three young women who become friends when the live Tweeting of a disastrous date leads them to discover they’ve all been duped by the same man.

Samiah Brooks never thought she would be “that” girl. But a live tweet of a horrific date just revealed the painful truth: she’s been catfished by a three-timing jerk of a boyfriend. Suddenly Samiah-along with his two other “girlfriends,” London and Taylor — have gone viral online. Now the three new besties are making a pact to spend the next six months investing in themselves. No men, no dating, and no worrying about their relationship status . . .

For once Samiah is putting herself first, and that includes finally developing the app she’s always dreamed of creating. Which is the exact moment she meets the deliciously sexy, honey-eyed Daniel Collins at work. What are the chances? When it comes to love, there’s no such thing as a coincidence. But is Daniel really boyfriend material or is he maybe just a little too good to be true?

  • The Wrong Bride

The Wrong Bride by Gayle Callen

The Wrong Bride by Gayle Callen is $2.99! This historical romance has a mistaken identity element and a hint of an arranged marriage. Some readers wished the heroine was a bit stronger in personality, while others recommend this for fans of slow burn romances. This is the first book in the Highland Weddings series and the rest of the books are on sale.

USA Today bestselling author Gayle Callen creates an unforgettable story of mistaken identity and irresistible attraction in this first in a wonderfully engaging series set in the Scottish Highlands…

Shaken from sleep during the night and bundled off to the Highlands by a burly Scot, Riona is at first terrified, then livid. Hugh McCallum insists they were promised to each other as children to ensure peace between their clans. The stubborn laird refuses to believe he’s kidnapped the wrong Catriona Duff. Instead, he embarks on a campaign of slow-burning seduction.

At first, Hugh cares only what their marriage can do for his people. Now he’s starting to crave Riona for her own sake, but her true identity jeopardizes his clan’s contract. And unless she chooses to risk all to be his bride, he’ll lose the only thing he prizes more than the lands he’s fought so hard to save—the passionate marriage they could have together.

  • To Tempt a Bride

To Tempt a Bride by Edith Layton

To Tempt a Bride by Edith Layton is $2.99 at Amazon and Barnes & Noble! This historical romance is part of the C Series and features a military hero who has it bad for the heroine. Readers loved the tomboy heroine, but wanted more chemistry between the leads.

From the moment she first saw tall, dashing Eric Ford, Camille’s heart was lost. In her most cherished fantasy she is standing by his side, exchanging sacred wedding vows with her beloved. But Eric seems content to be no more than her unofficial protector, watching over the younger sister of his dear friend—and, despite her every attempt to open his eyes, it appears Camille’s dream of wedded bliss might never come true.

Eric knows a spirited and passionate beauty like Camille deserves much better than him, an ex-military man who has no patience for the games of the ton. Still, he aches each time a potential suitor approaches her, or when he sees her dancing in another man’s arms. Eric knows he will never be complete until Camille is his. With each lingering glance and caressing touch he must tempt the lady to be his bride. But when danger and betrayal threaten, will it destroy a secret love…or bind two hearts for all eternity?

  1. Maite says:

Paraphrasing a review of Sanderson’s “The Way of Kings”: “You can’t not buy this omnibus at that price, you can’t carry the physical book around with you, and won’t tackle it if you see the amount of pages it has.”

Seriously, INHERITANCE TRILOGY is amazing, but it does deal a lot on power struggles, and it IS worth it, but be kind to yourself while reading and take breaks?

  2. FashionablyEvil says:

I really wanted to like The Boyfriend Project, but I had similar problems to Maya—Daniel is undercover and the resolution of that plot thread is rushed and just didn’t work for me. Also, I found the level of detail about Austin and Trendsetters to be overwhelming.

  3. SandraH says:

Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore is 1.99 at Amazon

  4. Star says:

The Inheritance trilogy was Jemisin’s debut, and she’s only gotten better since. The second book in the trilogy is the strongest imho. In all honesty, I hated, hated, hated the third book for sort of metaphysical reasons, but nevertheless I would still recommend the entire trilogy, since not everyone shares my opinions on metaphysics or the narrative choices based on them. Jemisin is brilliant, and I’m not sure there’s a higher tribute I can pay to an author’s talent than “I hated this book but still recommend it.”

  5. flchen1 says:

Is the Inheritance trilogy YA? I can’t quite tell from the description/reviews?

  6. Carrie G says:

    @flchen1
The Inheritance trilogy is not YA. I haven’t read them, but my husband and daughter have and can’t recommend them highly enough. He’s now reading THE CITY WE BECAME, her newest book, and says it’s amazing, too.

  7. Varian says:

flchen1, it is very much NOT a YA series imo. There’s sex with gods, I think there’s some violence, and I know there’s other things I’m forgetting.

Now I want to reread the series.

  8. cleo says:

Burn Zone by Annabeth Albert is on sale for 1.99. MM older brother’s best friend firefighter romance. It’s the first in her new series. It’s not my favorite by her – one of the h/h is closeted and there was just way too much “I want you but I can never have you” nonsense for my taste. It did get more interesting once they decided to sleep together so they’d get over each other.
