Links: Free Reads and YouTube Vids

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses. It’s Links time already!

Yesterday, I had my bi-weekly therapy session via phone. Have I discussed how weird it is to do therapy over the phone? So far, that’s the strangest change to my personal routine. Yes, there is a cam option but no one wants to see my quarantine fashion right now.

Links today are mostly book recommendations and links, plus a couple good videos to keep you busy.

If you’re having trouble with fiction right now, Frolic has some interesting nonfiction recommendations, most of which went immediately on my TBR pile.

Several university presses have made books and research materials FREE right now! The Public Books Database has a current list that they regularly update on what’s available.

The cast of The Nanny reunited to do a virtual table read of the very first episode. I loved this show growing up and man, everyone has aged rather well.

Tor has a free sci-fi/fantasy book sampler available of upcoming titles! You can get a sneak peek at Deal with the Devil by Kit Rocha!

I know we already posted about the launch of John Krasinki’s Some Good News, but the second episode is even better. Yes, I cried.

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

I had cancer 14 years ago, and spent a summer out of grad school recovering from surgery and going through radiation. I had so little energy I couldn’t read (unusual for me), and couldn’t focus on longer TV dramas. I watched every episode of The Nanny that summer, and I am forever grateful to the show for bringing me joy and comfort during one of the most difficult times of my life. I can’t wait to watch this!
