Hottie Lumberjack
Hottie Lumberjack by Tawna Fenske is $3.99! I added this one to my TBR pile after reading this comment from Jenny on Whatcha Reading. Jenny says the covers in this series aren’t great, but she really enjoyed this one. In my romance book club, another member recommended the second book in this series, Chef Sugarlips, so I may have to bump these books up on my list.

Getaway Girl by Tessa Bailey is $2.99 ! This is a contemporary romance and one that I’m excited about because I absolutely love Charleston, SC. Some readers were conflicted about the fact that the hero was indeed ready to marry his fiancee before everything went tits up. But I also recommend Bailey for people who love hot sex scenes and dirty talking.

Anton by Brenda Rothert is $3.99! This book has been making the rounds in the comments section because of the cover and I feel like it’s my duty to make sure everyone else is aware. Readers say this hockey romance has a very slow, slow burn. Have you read this one?

[This Kindle version also includes the novella “A Very Merry Princess” (that came between books 2 and 3 in the series).] (I thought this was the weakest of the books in the series so far, tbh.)

Tawna Fenske is such an underrated writer! Her books are so much fun!
Gunpowder Academy is one of my favorites! Jeannie Lin is terrific.
I enjoyed getaway girl a lot while I was reading it, and I initially thought that the hero being seconds away from marrying someone else would run it for me but somehow it worked. but after I was done, it really, really bothered me that the heroine had absolutely no friends or family – her entire world in the book was the hero.
I can’t quite put my finger on why it bothered me so much with this book, since this happens relatively frequently in romance novels especially older ones.
