This HaBO is from Kathleen who is looking for this romance:
Can’t remember the name of this book to save my life but it was great.
Most of what I remember was that it was set in the South. There was some arranging of letters to spell out D.E.L.I.L.A.H at some point. The heroine’s mother and her mother’s sister were also central to the story.
Also, there may have been a bakery involved.
I’m unsure if this is contemporary or historical, but I’m leaning more toward contemporary given the possibility of there being a bakery in the South and I can’t exactly envision that in an American Historical romance.

A sugar Queen by Sara Addison Allen
Yes, could be “The Sugar Queen,” though the one character is Della Lee … and her last name is Baker. 🙂 But there is definitely a lot of sweet snacks and the main character lives with her mother.
I’m 100 percent on the lead character’s name being Delilah. It is contemporary and set in South Louisiana. I forgot to add that part.
