The Right of Reckless by Heather Van Fleet is $1.99 at Amazon! It’s available elsewhere, but isn’t being matched just yet. It’s possible this is an expiring deal, so grab this one if you’re interested. This has the “brother’s best friend” trope, which is certainly not my favorite, but I know it’s major catnip for other readers.
I’m in love with a woman I can’t have, and there’s absolutely nothing I can do to stop myself from falling.
The problem? Her brother’s my best friend.
I shouldn’t want her this much. Not when it goes against the bro code. Not when I’ve never been able to commit to a woman for longer than a night.

Megan E. O’Keefe’s VELOCITY WEAPON is $2.99 at Amazon today. This is space opera with a sentient ship and I have no idea what else, but I’m in based on that.
If the series is called Puffin Island, why is there a gull on the cover?!? Puffins are the much cuter seabird, in my opinion (and they also don’t steal your entire bag of potato chips, unlike the gulls at Coney Island!)

How about the code of ‘expecting an adult woman is capable of being responsible for her own romantic choices and does not need some bullshit ‘big brother protection racket’ thing going on’? Hmmmm?
I love the Puffin Island books! All are a bit different, and all are so great, I highly recommend them. I bought the set when it was on sale about a year ago, and just re-read several of the books and loved them all over again.
Oh please do a silly negative article on good books. Not about a book, but the silliest review I read was about someone didn’t like a Brighton seaside hotel because of the seagulls! Erm…
