I’ve been in a reading slump so I haven’t read that many books this year (30), let alone this summer. But I did read one book while I was on vacation that I quite liked, I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter by Erika L. Sanchez. It is very teen and very issue-y but I think it was well done.

So many, this summer has been full of some really good reads. I’d have to say Quintland Sisters and The Gown were two of my absolute favourites though. They both made me question the stories I’d always been told and history I’d always been taught. Always a good thing
