    All the beautiful flowers!

  8. Laura George says:

Well, I don’t know that I will win a grab bag, but I will be reading some of books mentioned here already! Like others, I thoroughly enjoyed The Wallflower Wager and Brazen and the Beast.
I also read the Aubry-Maturin series of navel novels and was surprised by how much I enjoyed them. I’m currently reading Loretta Chase’s first six novels – I might have to reread all the rest of her novels in publication order now.

  9. Carrie Castro says:

So far, it’s Say No to the Duke by Eloisa James. She’s one of my auto-buy authors and she never disappoints!

  10. Tash says:

I love love loved Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating!

  11. Kathryn Plitt says:

My favorite book I read this year is Kill the Queen by Jennifer Estep.

  12. Katie says:

I unexpectedly loved Teach Me by Olivia Dade

  13. Dee says:

Once I get myself emotionally prepared, it will most likely be “Brazen and the Beast” by Sarah McLean. But as of now, “The Evil Queen” by Gena Showalter.

  14. Noel Stark says:

Iron and Magic by Ilona Andrews. It made me go read the entire Kate Daniels series because it drives me bananas when things are referred to in one novel that happened in another. I’m 2/3rds done just in time for her new Hidden Legacy book! Very excited.

  15. It’s so hard to pick a favorite! I will say I’ve been on a Holley Trent PNR reading spree and fully enjoying the ride.

  16. Anna J says:

I bought this book at the beginning of the year, but I finally read Nightchaser by Amanda Bouchet and I loved it! It also got me back into the sci-fi genre, which I’m a big fan of but hadn’t read much of lately. So not only was it a great book but it reminded me why I love sci-fi so much.

  17. Hanna says:

My favorite has got to be the Murderbot novella series by Martha Wells. I DEVOURED them and cannot wait for the upcoming novel.
In terms of romance, I adored Phoenix Unbound by Grace Draven, which was so beautiful and came to be at the exact right time.

  19. Stephanie Mills says:

I finished up the Broken Earth series by N. K. Jemisun. Loved it! So different from what I usually read.

  20. Amanda says:

I have two favorites from the summer but they are in very different categories. They were both in my library’s summer reading program. They were The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks which is a non-fiction about cell and cancer research and Rich Crazy Asians.

  21. Laurie says:

I absolutely loved both The Wallflower Wager and Brazen and the Beast. Though I just finished Kate Canterbary’s Far Cry and it is made it a 3-way tie.

  22. Connie says:

Two books I really enjoyed this summer were The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare and Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson.

  23. Elizabeth says:

My favorite read of the summer has to be Word By Word by Kory Stamper. I love words and language, but I had no idea dictionaries could be so interesting.

  24. Laine says:

I discovered Murderbot this summer and I love it.

  25. Anne says:

I Just discovered Laura Lee Guhrke thanks to the bitchery an I just loved Governess Home Rogue!

  26. Jen says:

    Love Me by Olivia Cunning.

  27. Kelsey says:

    Polaris Rising!

  28. Angie Hoffman says:

    The Flatshare
I appreciated the way the author approached emotionally abusive relationships. The dynamics between the main characters were great!

  29. My favorite romance I read this summer was You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn. It’s an awesome debut novel. YA contemporary, set in the country music scene, most of it takes place while the main characters’ respective bands are on tour together. The couple have a little bit of a Johnny and June thing going on, and there’s a little A Star is Born vibe there, too. But it’s a romance (ends in a HEA), and I think this is a stand alone novel.

  30. HL says:

I’m a little late to these books, read the first two Sarah J Mass books in Court of Thorns and Roses series. I’ve been vacationing with my family in Orlando, and so ready for it to be over! The third book is on my library wait list for when I get home.

  31. Martha Lawson says:

My favorite this summer has been Outfox by Sandra Brown. Awesome book with a surprise!

  32. Vivian V says:

I loved Alisha Rai’s The Right Swipe, perfect fun read centered around online dating. Engaging protagonists a satisfying HEA

  33. Lori says:

The best book I read this summer is Burnout by Emily and Amelia Nagoski. It was such a revelation because it’s not just talking about how stress impacts you, but has concrete things you can do to “complete” the stress cycle. Everyone I know will be getting this book for Christmas this year.

  34. Christina Nielsen-Campbell says:

I read Last Things by Jacqueline West early this summer and loved it. You know how there are certain books you read as a teenager that just got out of your skin, and now you can’t even look at them the same way you do other books, because they’re part of you? I swear Last Things did that to me. And I’m in my thirties.

  35. Megan M says:

Well Met by Jen DeLuca! It’s set mostly during a renaissance festival and took me back to when I used to go to my local faire. In general it was a playful romp and a fun summer read.

  36. Stacy says:

I have an early advance of Ten Thousand Doors of January and it was amazing. I’ve loved reading Shelly Laurenston all summer. Brazen and the Beast was wonderful.

  37. Malin says:

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston and The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman were my favourites.

  38. Heather says:

My favorite so far was Finders Keepers by N.R. Walker. Gotta love a meet cute facilitated by a scruffy little run away dog

  39. QOTU says:

Reticence, the final book in the Custard series by Gail Carriger

  40. Rachel Keeble says:

Tessa Dare’s The Duchess Deal has been my favourite read this summer!
