I am reading through the Fever series by Karen M. Moning, and loving them. They aren’t new, but are new to me! Not romance related, but I also stumbled on the Iron Druid series (Fantasy) and blew through all of those in a little over a week.

  3. Cyndy Wilson says:

My favorite book of the summer was, 100%, Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse. The perfect summer read!!

  4. Kat says:

I loved The Lady’s Guide to Celestial Mechanics by Olivia Waite. I also finally got to The Kiss Quotient, which was life changing!

  5. GeeCee says:

It’s a toss-up between Elizabeth Hunter’s “Hooked” (I love Tayla and Jeremy) and “The Magpie Lord” by KJ Charles which I’ve *finally* gotten around to reading.

  6. Cammy S. says:

Just Past Two by Elia Winters.

  7. Rosdrise says:

The Bride Test and A Prince on Paper are my books of the summer and potentially YEAR.

Calling Me Home by Julie Kibler and More Than Words Can Say by Karen Wittemeyer

  9. PamG says:

A number of books tickled my fancy this summer. I really enjoyed The Flat Share by Beth O’Leary, The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren, The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison, Evie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes, Overnight Sensation by Sarina Bowen, Behind the Veil by Kathryn Nolan, Sweep of the Blade by Ilona Andrews, and the Laws of Physics series by Penny Reid. I wish I could narrow it down, but, no, I love different things about all of them. There were also a number of happy re-reads as well. So many of these came from recommendations on this website. Thank you. Thank you.

  10. M.L says:

Just finished The Blacksmith Queen by G.A Aiken…awesome!!!!

  11. Victoria R says:

I loved The Proposal by Jasmine Guillory. What’s more summery than an awkward Jumbotron proposal?

  12. Mekaela says:

I’ve been reading a lot of mysteries over the summer, but my favorite book so far was actually The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place, a cute, middle grade mystery set in the 1800’s. Kinda what I needed at the time. I would love to try some new-to-me romances 🙂

  13. Carol says:

I’m late to the party, but Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin.

  14. Sophydc says:

My two favorites so far are Sapphire Flames by Ilona Andrews and Sworn to the Night by Craig Schaeffer. Both read in the last week. The only books I sat down and read in one day cuz they were so good.

  15. Beth says:

My favourite book this summer was A Useful Woman by Darcie Wilde, a lovely cozy mystery set in the Regency. Ideal for Jane Austen-loving cozy mystery fans.

  16. JULIE NORDGREN says:

Oh oh oh! So many good books this summer! But Ayesha at Last by Uzma Jalaluddin and Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston really socked me right in the feels. I loved them so much!

  17. Paige says:

Red White and Royal Blue was my fav read this summer.

  18. Cat says:

I’ve been Eve Dangerfield’s backlog after reading some recommendations for her on this website. I’m so happy I am and I’ve loved Open Hearts and Something Borrowed!

I also joined Bad Decision Book Club to read Sapphire Flames by Ilona Andrews

  19. ms8196 says:

I just read “After You” by JoJo Moyes. It’s the sequel to “Me Before You,” which I read a while ago and didn’t realize even had 2 additional books. It was so nice to read the second book because the ending of “Me Before You” is rather sad and I’m someone who likes more closure or an upbeat end, so “After You” was a bit of a relief.

  20. Honestly? I’ve had such an insane summer I don’t even remember half of what I read. I guess the standouts for me would be the Aftermath trilogy by Chuck Wendig and Change of Heart by Sonali Dev.

  21. Kathryn says:

Life and other inconveniences by Kristan Higgins. Ugh, I haven’t cried that much in a long time but such a good emotional payoff in the end.

  22. Kris says:

My favourites so far this summer are by a new to me author Georgina Clarke:Death and the harlot and The corpse played dead. They are historical mysteries with no romance yet but there is interest between the two MC’s. Highly recommend both books. Plus I just read Echo in Onyx by Sharon Shinn. Terrific books by two fabulous authors.

  23. Katy L says:

For new books, the one that comes to mind for me is Wolf Rain by Nalini Singh. I’ve also been rereading Patricia Briggs’ Mercy Thompson and Alpha and Omega books.

  24. Amymeemi says:

One of my faves this summer has been A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas!
