Every Last Breath
Every Last Breath by Juno Rushdan is $1.99! This is the first book in the Final Hour romantic suspense series. I enjoyed the action in this one, but there are a lot of moving parts. I also want to warn readers that this deals with the heroine miscarrying which leads to her having an awful breakdown. It’s off the page but recalled in detail.

1 chance to get it rightMaddox Kinkade is an expert at managing the impossible. Tasked with neutralizing a lethal bioweapon, she turns to the one person capable of helping her stop the threat of pandemic in time: the love of her life, back from the dead and mad as hell at her supposed betrayal. The Devilish Duke
The Devilish Duke by Maddison Michaels is 99c! This is the first book in the Saints & Scoundrels series. This one has a marriage of convenience and the hint of a mystery. Readers really loved the heroine, but found the pacing uneven. It has a 4-star rating on Goodreads.
Devlin Markham, the notorious “Devil Duke” of Huntington, needs a woman. And not just any woman. If he can’t woo one of the most eccentric bluestockings of the Ton within the month, he can kiss his hard-earned fortune goodbye. But he’s always thought love a wasted emotion and marriage an inconvenience at best. And oddly enough, Lady Sophie Wolcott seems unmoved by his charm…
When Sophie learns her beloved orphanage is in imminent danger, she will do anything to save it. Even marry a ruthless rake who takes what he wants in business and pleasure. A man who’s everything she’s always feared most—but whom she reluctantly begins yearning for.
Then Sophie becomes the target of a killer lurking from the dark shadows of Devlin’s past. And they find not only their lives in jeopardy but their very hearts.

The Moon in the Palace
The Moon in the Palace by Weina Dai Randel is $1.99! This book is a RITA winner for in the Mainstream Fiction with a Central Romance category. Readers loved the setting and political intrigue, though some described some pacing issues. It has a 3.8-star rating on Goodreads.
There is no easy path for a woman aspiring to power
A concubine at the palace learns quickly that there are many ways to capture the Emperor’s attention. Many paint their faces white and style their hair attractively, hoping to lure in the One Above All with their beauty. Some present him with fantastic gifts, such as jade pendants and scrolls of calligraphy, while others rely on their knowledge of seduction to draw his interest. But young Mei knows nothing of these womanly arts, yet she will give the Emperor a gift he can never forget.
Mei’s intelligence and curiosity, the same traits that make her an outcast among the other concubines, impress the Emperor. But just as she is in a position to seduce the most powerful man in China, divided loyalties split the palace in two, culminating in a perilous battle that Mei can only hope to survive.
In the breakthrough first volume in the Empress of Bright Moon duology, Weina Dai Randel paints a vibrant portrait of ancient China—where love, ambition, and loyalty can spell life of death—and the woman who came to rule it all.

The Girl of Fire and Thorns
The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson is $1.99 at most vendors! Maybe Barnes & Noble will price match it later. I love the new cover designs for this series. Readers enjoyed the central conflict and world building, but felt the heroine was a passive force in her own story.
Once a century, one person is chosen for greatness.
Elisa is the chosen one.But she is also the younger of two princesses, the one who has never done anything remarkable. She can’t see how she ever will.
Now, on her sixteenth birthday, she has become the secret wife of a handsome and worldly king—a king whose country is in turmoil. A king who needs the chosen one, not a failure of a princess.
And he’s not the only one who seeks her. Savage enemies seething with dark magic are hunting her. A daring, determined revolutionary thinks she could be his people’s savior. And he looks at her in a way that no man has ever looked at her before. Soon it is not just her life, but her very heart that is at stake.
Elisa could be everything to those who need her most. If the prophecy is fulfilled. If she finds the power deep within herself. If she doesn’t die young.
Most of the chosen do.

I remember enjoying Girl of Fire and Thorns but not feeling compelled to pick up the sequels. I LOVED the first book in the author’s Gold Seer trilogy (Walk on Earth a Stranger), though.
I loved Girl of Fire and Thorns – that whole trilogy was great, and these new covers are amazing.
I loved Every Last Breath! I don’t read a ton of romantic suspense because it usually stresses me out but I could not put it down and I cannot wait until book 2 comes out.
The Duke with the Dragon Tattoo by Kerrigan Byrne is $2.99. Her books are usually $7.99
The Moon in the Palace looks incredible! And I love that cover!!
The Girl of Fire and Thorns is good, but it’s the weakest in the trilogy. It’s worth it to read the sequels!!
Thank you Emily B! I snapped up The Ones Who Got Away!
@Lynn you’re so welcome! It’s been featured on here a few times but I don’t think it’s ever been free. Also realized I totally messed up the name of the Melanie Harlow series, it’s the Some Kind Of series but she bundled them all calls it Happy Crazy Love and you can get the whole bundle for 99 cents, which is a pretty great deal because they’re all full length books.
