Last week we hosted a giveaway for three Withings tracker watches, which I adore in so many ways.
And as promised, now that the winners have been announced, we have a special coupon just for you all!
If you use coupon code SBTB20 at the Withings.com store, you’ll receive:
- 20% off your choice of the Steel, Steel HR , Steel HR Sport, and Pulse HR (Limited Editions, Sapphire Collection, and additional wristbands are not included)
- This coupon is only available to 100 people and will expire on 31 August 2019.
- The coupon is valid for North America, UK, and EU folks.
- FREE SHIPPING is included as well — woot!
Thank you to Susie Felber and the crew at Withings.
As I’ve said during our giveaways, I have a Steel HR, and I really, really like it, for a massive host of reasons. So if you’ve been thinking of getting one, this is a great opportunity!

These watches look really great but I had a quick question I am hoping someone on here who has used one before may be able to answer!
These devices obviously need to collect a lot of personal and private data so I checked their privacy page (https://www.withings.com/uk/en/legal/privacy-policy) and they seem to use that data in a lot of ways including marketing, sharing with other companies (albeit in aggregate) etc. Does anyone know how intrusive this is and also how good the opt outs they mention are? E.g. they say we can opt out of receiving things but not whether we can opt out of them using and analysing our data.
I find privacy policies difficult to understand so if anyone does have experience of how this translates in the real world and is willing to share I’d be grateful!
Thanks!
Karen
@Karen: I totally understand your hesitation here. I opt out of most things, and I’ve been using the Withings software for a few years now. I haven’t noticed an increase in fitness-related or health-related spam, or in any other apps or software trying to contact me. I also lock down notifications on just about everything (an app or program needs to be extremely vital to get the option to interrupt me during the day). That said, MyFitnessPal bothers me more than Withings apps ever do. I hope that helps a bit.
