This HaBO request is from Jamie, who is searching for an older romance:
I am looking for one of the first romances I read, probably 20 years ago or so. I think it was Harlequin.
The heroine is pregnant and gets taken in by a curmudgeon who turns out to be handsome. She is an artist, sculptor specifically (if I recall correctly). I remember a sculpture of a cat being a presence.
At the end (or toward the end), she has a successful art showing – potentially in the hero’s house.
Not sure if this one is historical or contemporary.

Sounds like an old Jayne Ann Krentz, but no idea of the title.
This is ABSOLUTELY a Harlequin, either a Temptation or Desire, but the title’s eluding me! Will keep thinking about it.
I’m reminded of a book (perhaps by Elizabeth Lowell or JAK) which had a wood carving named something like ‘Stroke Me.’
