There are some videos that always, without fail, no matter how many times I’ve seen them, make me laugh or at least give me that bubbly feeling of delight when I watch them again.
I figured you had some as well, so I figured, why not ask? What videos always make you laugh? I asked the crew here at SBTB HQ and now I’m a mess.
Amanda:
Amanda: If you aren’t watching Schitt’s Creek, you need to rectify that.
Elyse:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=rSfjS6M8dYY
Sarah: “Get him, Derry!”
Elyse: I lose it when the dog pees, every single time.
Sarah: I am now cry-laughing.
This one always gets me: Russell Howard, after announcing that the English accent was voted “sexiest” by some poll, attempting to prove that idea very wrong:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=5pKAzN4PT0Y
Two words: wheelie bins.
Carrie:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aF7dbjFHNz0
Sarah: Banana Head Fart Man? How is that not a movie?
What about you? What videos always make you laugh, every time?
A few guidelines, if you please: drop links in the comments, of course, but give us a bit of an intro into what it is, and why it makes you laugh?

I’m in the break-up doldrums, and this is the best thing to happen to me this past week.
Pöpcørn – Recipes with the Swedish Chef: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7UmUX68KtE (“All de popedecorn stikki in de microowowoovie!”)
Rogue One Stars Answer The Web’s Most Searched Questions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HRiRy-gooo (“‘What does Riz Ahmed mean?’ I ask myself that question every day. Every day, every day, I ask myself that question. What is the significance of me?”)
Denzel Washington Dramatically Reads Greeting Cards: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grYY0PRhbGQ (“‘Thankie thankie bo-bankie.'”)
The corgi flop get me every time

Oh my god! I know a video that never fails to make me snort-laugh. Just looking it up now, at work, and it happened again.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9zvgcOrTtw
Turkeys gobbling! And the infectious laugh of that guy!
You’re welcome 🙂
Dean Winchester’s rendition of Eye of the Tiger
https://youtu.be/DvrfQiYS1pc
How to Open a Book: The title says everything! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueO0o8BwsmI
Also, vine compilations are my bread and butter. I lose so much time watching these, especially Thomas Sanders! *The first link is swear-free, but some of the vines in the other two get sweary and some are inappropriate
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9Ge8z-nAEg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blUhEodUvwY
The Flight of the Conchords doing a charity song for a children’s hospital. The bit with the tooth fairy gets me every time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=py_30jZGUYk
This guy’s disastrous Family Feud appearance.
STOP!!! Blowing a Sunday morning was bad enough, but now you’re interfering with my workday!!
@JenM, you are welcome. It’s not funny, but it is so much fun. I always end up with a big stupid grin & a lighter heart.
@Aarya Marsden, LOVE IT!! But I’ll see your Tom Holland, and raise you The Rock doing Shake It Off.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xn3tUOJ9yv4
@Escapeologist, that is EVERYTHING!!
I need to come back here when I’m ready to laugh. But this ALWAYS makes me laugh. It’s actually my stepdad. The TV guy’s arm hit the kill-switch on the pack so instead of going straight up in the air, he went into the water. And then the shocked laughing of the anchors gets me every time!
@Kimberly: OMG, that charity song. I saw Flight of the Conchords in concert and if you ever get the chance to do so, I highly recommend it.
I love this thread so much. Here’s a catchy song I stumbled across 15 years ago about how to avoid scurvy as a pirate. My friend and I still scream “Eat a Lime!” at each other regularly.
https://youtu.be/8kY95ZJQVRg
Tom Holland doing “Umbrella” by Rihanna every time. Partially because it’s not really a joke. I mean, yes, there’s a wig and lipstick and fishnets, but there are also legitimate professional dancer level skills. Also, don’t on Zendaya doing a dead-on Bruno Mars.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1i5DEipIWh4
Also, “Jack Sparrow” by The Lonely Island and Michael Bolton. You can say many things about Michael Bolton, but you can’t say he didn’t commit to the character in this one.
Epic Pomeranian Puppy Sneeze: https://youtu.be/kZAwXjidHmM
It is very short but that little guy always gets me to smile!
This is perfect timing, since I’m home sick this week and in need of entertainment. My go-to giggle is the Drunk History episode where Octavia Spencer plays Harriet Tubman. I’ve probably forced nearly everyone I know to watch it at some point, and I laugh every time.
Runner Up: This educational video for men…“Understanding Women: Bra Off = Day Over” https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10153653185598309&id=58312923308
B-double E-double R UN, beer run! 😀

You guys sent me down the lip sync battle rabbit hole and I came out with my all time favorite (an oldie but goodie): Emma Stone’s “All I Do is Win” from Jimmy Fallon
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLBSoC_2IY8&w=560&h=315%5D
This is a video of two guys who spent time pretending to be the voice of a smart elevator.
It’s a bit long, but it’s GOLD.
https://youtu.be/PBFQJTa0_K4
Gilbert Gottfried reading “50 Shades of Grey”: https://youtu.be/XkLqAlIETkA.
I’d pay good money for the full version!
Can’t believe I’ve never seen the KevOnStage Bra Off video. His Waffle House rant is my all-time go-to when I need a laugh.
https://youtu.be/Dok7x-mUcvM
I have to add my voice to those repping Tom Holland’s Lip Sync Battle. I watched it like three times a day for two weeks after I first saw it. AMAZING.
This, however, is my go-to “I just need to smile and feel good about things for a minute” video. Pure sweetness.
I too love the Tom Holland’s Lip Sync Battle – the entire show is worth it just for that number.
My contributions: “I Go To The Zoo” from Crazy Ex Girlfriend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEhTmETAt9A
And these two SNL commercials – for yoga pants: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sU55auqDD28 and for Amazon Echo Silver: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvT_gqs5ETk (I don’t know ’bout that)
The Thick of It makes me laugh more than anything and Glenn’s resignation speech slagging off everyone in the office is a classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xM8DfCgVWx8 (like the rest of the show it’s not very nice, so not for the easily offended maybe!)
Forewarning for some swearing and discussion about bad boys on tiktok. This video is from a former Vine Star, Danny Gonzalez.
He talks about stuff and sometimes gets inspired to make music based on stuff he talks about. It’s like a commentary video with bonus media.

Bonus music video.

I have two! FENTON! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GRSbr0EYYU
and 20th Century Fox Flute https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCPj4JPbKtA
Been laughing at those two for years.
Oh and how could I forget Sailor J. https://youtu.be/zJaaLXZwmsU
This video of Ryan Lochte being interviewed on a morning show – and the anchors absolutely losing it – never fails to send my husband and me into hysterics.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UnceMoPtVfE
SNL game show skits, especially all the ones where the host is Kenan or Bill Hader.
This one isn’t any of those, but it has Melissa McCarthy and makes me so happy:

(Sorry if that link doesn’t work)
two nominations:
this 8 second hilarious child reading video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kG-Gt2XfbiQ
and this longer but also hilarious video read-aloud of people’s yahoo answers questions about family planning and pregnancy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EShUeudtaFg
Also: Kate McKinnon being debriefed about her Close Encounter(warning: not safe for some work, even though she uses euphemisms of various sorts for body parts)
https://youtu.be/PfPdYYsEfAE
The Muppets video of “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Kermit’s final line is priceless.
Here’s a new one!! The Game of Thrones Finale written by an AI and performed by the cast of College Humor: https://io9.gizmodo.com/the-game-of-thrones-season-finale-would-have-been-very-1835348175
Around here, we love anything with Tina Fey doing a real Philadelphia accent. The SNL bit from around the superbowl a couple of years ago when she was part of the delegation from Philadelphia going up against the Patriots of New England (and Captain Thomas Brady) slays us every time. https://youtu.be/fcziw7helVg
I once went to a Muppets retrospective in San Francisco, and “Danny Boy” was so beloved that it was played in multiple programs. (Beaker also sings the only tolerable version of “Feelings,” believe it or not. Kid’s a hell of a torch singer. Anyway…)
Andrea Martin as an ’80s-style Sophia Loren on SCTV!

The Glove and Boots history of TV:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyYo3Hm6pS4
It’s even funnier if you know the history of the horrible singing in the real PAINT YOUR WAGON, but damned if the “oil-based paint” line STILL doesn’t make me hysterical each time:
Castletown Donkey Derby 1994. It starts with the MC chatting carelessly with some of the young competitors (which is funny enough), then we’re into the race, which descends into the most glorious anarchy.

The “Posh Nosh” series of eight short (9-minute) sketches “with the Hon. Simon & Minty Marchmont”. beautifully parodying foodie television. Watch the closing credits for Joanna Lumley’s hilarious voiceover promos for foods in the “Posh Nosh range”. Featuring Richard E. Grant, Arabella Weir (the series creator), and a handful of cameos by David Tennant.
The BBC never released these, so the YouTube videos are the only place you can find these. I would buy them all in a heartbeat.
Posh Nosh, episode 1 (“Architect’s Fish and Chips”)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzjR0yL4f0Y
“Simon’s mother, Lady Marchmont, gave me this colander just before she died. Which was sad, but also happy, because it’s a lovely colander.”
(Sorry about the messy link in my previous post, by the way. I was trying, unsuccessfully, to embed the video. The link does work!)
That Tom Holland lip sync video is the greatest thing EVER. Thank you to everyone who mentioned it for bringing it to my attention.
@Julia (the one in PC): Oh my God, Posh Nosh. YES. Absolutely everything about it is hysterical.
I can watch this video over and over and laugh every single time.

A bit late to the party on this one, but for those who haven’t yet discovered the delight that is Would I Lie to You:
https://youtu.be/qkpyd2lr4dI
This vintage 1969 classic, one of the first – sharing because I suspect most people here have never seen it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5R-rbzcEM8A
Tip for Donna Marie and other fellow fans of the incredibly edited montage of old films set to Uptown Funk, if you turn closed captions on, it tells you the source of each clip.
