My Sister, the Serial Killer is probably my favorite book so far this year, but I’ve been thinking a lot about Naguib Mahfouz’s Cairo Trilogy. Like I cannot get them out of my head, I’m not even sure I like them, it was sometimes delightful to read and sometimes a slog and I might just read them over again.
