This HaBO comes from Em, who is searching for this erotic historical romance:
I hope someone will be able to identify this book. It’s part of a series that focuses on a specific family but this may have been about a family friend instead. It’s a period (I think Victorian? Maybe Edwardian?) novel, and basically has two men that end up in a relationship with the heroine.
In one part of the book they dress the heroine in boys clothes and bring her to a gentleman’s club. She’s thrilled to set foot in a place that is normally forbidden to her and the excitement leads to them having a threesome in an alley. Or maybe they only start on the threesome? It’s possible that they got interrupted by someone who thought some illegal gay sex was going on and they had to run for it.
The heroine marries one of the men in the end, but the three of them live happily ever after together in a remote country estate.
I’m afraid that’s all I remember! Thanks for any leads.
As someone who thinks triad or poly romances are a great solution in romance, I have a personal interest in this one!

I’m at work or I’d go through all my Samantha Kane books – it might be one from her Brothers In Arms series.
It sounds like “Bound with Passion by Megan Mulry ”

if not I’m very interested!
I second cayenne, I am almost certain this is from a Samantha Kane Brothers in Arms book. Certainly a lot of her threesomes in that series end up living happily together in country manors.
Check out Madelynne Ellis and her Scandalous Seductions series. I believe the woman marries one of the main male characters, but is also involved with the other man. The men are involved with each other too.

Is it possibly Phyllida and the Brotherhood of Philander by Ann Herendeen?
The description specifically mentions a visit to a club, but I’m not sure how much sex there is.

Maybe Simply Sinful from Kate Pearce’s Simply/House of Pleasure series.
Kate Pearce is exactly who I was thinking of, too!
I don’t think it’s Phyllida and the Brotherhood of Philander. I read it awhile ago but I’m pretty sure there are no threesomes. It’s more of a poly v than a triad. She’s got a voyeur kink and enjoys watching her husband and his male lover.
I am here for more recs of erotic historical triads (besides Samantha Kane, ofc).
@liz: Yes! I didn’t realize how many poly historical there are! Megan Mulry is the Queen of that genre, imho.
Okay, so this is more of a thing than I expected. Tell me more, ladies.
@DonnaMarie: I don’t read much ménage/poly (either historical or contemporary), but Megan Mulry’s Regency BOUND WITH HONOR is very good. Both h&h are bi and in same-sex relationships with their “special friends” when they marry:

Is it Tempting Two by Victoria Vane? I haven’t read that one, but I do know that it’s an m/f/m ménage, and the heroine ends up married to one of them.
Here’s a list of polyam historical romances – I’ve read a couple and heard of a few more but really, I had no idea about this sub genre

This isn’t the book – but there was a novella called “And Miss Julia makes Three’ by Laurel Bennett that was a regency historical Ménage. It was published in 2011
This sounds exactly like Simply Sinful. That particular scene happens mid way through the book. The main character, Peter, appears in other Kate Pearce books previous to this one. This is his HEA as it were. The other couple are already married but not compatible when the novel starts. While the heroine remains married to her husband, they sort things ouy
Could it be Band Sinister?
It’s not Band Sinister (Heyeresque gay Regency), although the cover looks as though it could be a book with a female-centred triad.
Band Sinister has a fairly innocent man in what would be the “heroine” part, his sister is the ingenue and in fact the main female part, and the hero is a “dissipated” gay poly rake to start with. As typical with Heyer, the ingenue isn’t the central part, so it’s very far from a typical F/F/M or M/M/F with a female central character.
Maybe The Duke and the Baron by Jenn Leblanc?
You all just hit my catnip. *furiously takes notes*
I think Lorna James’ Two Dukes are Better Than One has a scene where they sneak the heroine into a gaming parlor or a brothel?
