It’s almost February, the season of candy on sale (for the latter half of the month, anyway) with red and pink all over the place, and maybe even thoughtful (fingers and toes crossed) coverage of our favorite genre. And! ‘Tis also the season for new releases, books on sale, boxed sets, and other temptations.
So! I want to post a reminder that, as always, if you want to promote your book, your backlist, your fine crafting patterns, or your cat’s excellent napping habits while you read (please tell me more about that and send pics!), we have options to help you out.
The site survives in part because of advertisements from and for this community, so thank you in advance for your support!
Among the options we have for February:
- Desktop and mobile advertisement for week-long and month-long bookings
- Newsletter placements
- Podcast and transcript sponsorships with multiple pricing tiers
- For-Ever-Budget advertisement
One of the most popular options is the $50 space. If you’re looking for advertisement options and promotional opportunities on a budget, please take a look at our $50 For Every Budget Space. You receive four weeks of desktop and mobile advertisement on the most popular pages of the site for $50.
The For Every Budget Ads display on long pages, such as:
- The main page of the site, which is the most popular page, btw
- Longer length posts
- Longer length reviews
- Individual podcast entries
- And archive pages such as our Reviews By Grade page (also a very popular page!)
How do I reserve an ad?
You can email me to enquire at sarahATsmartbitchestrashybooksDOTTcom, or you can use this handy form to submit your For Every Budget ad and payment.
Why advertise with us?
Well, if you’re here already, you know that you and many thousands of other like-minded, romance-reading and things-knowing people hang out here daily.
When you book with us, you’re dealing with me personally (hi!). I manage the ad server and have deliberately worked to ensure that the ads presented to the community here are of interest to the community here.
Advertising support keeps the site going. It’s that simple.
As always, thanks for being here and for being part of Smart Bitches.
Cheers!

Quick question. Does it matter if the book being advertised is primarily sold through Smashwords? I mean, they do push their works out to other platforms but I’d prefer the link to go to the direct sales page because they take a smaller pice of the action that way.
Hi Jake: You can link to whatever URL you like – your website, a retailer, etc. It’s totally up to you. Thank you!
