Our 2018 Holiday Gift Guide is still going!
This time, I’m talking about some of my favorite things that I use or enjoy on a regular basis. I’m no Oprah and I can’t gift everyone a car, but I hope these things make some cozy, thoughtful presents this season.
Let’s get to it!
We’ll start with some cute and warm clothing! Sejora Fleece Lined Leggings are a staple for me, though I don’t pair them with heels. I own two of the black pairs and have even convinced Sarah to buy them. They’re great for lounging or a base layer, and I don’t find the compression band too tight.
(Sarah: she’s entirely right. They’re wonderfully comfortable, though I more often wear them as a base layer beneath other pants when it’s cold, but I’m always, always cold.)
Sejora Fleece Lined Leggings, $11.99
Next up: socks! Really warm socks!
Teehee Thermal Double Layer Crew Socks 3-Pack, $19.99
I bought these on Black Friday and I love them. They’re going to make your feet look two huge bread loaves, but it’s worth it. Your toes will be toasty and the socks come with those little friction pads on the bottom.
I ordered these custom fingerless gloves from LadybitsKnits on Etsy several years ago and I absolutely adore them. Though the Fuck Off ones aren’t stocked, you may be able to request a custom order.
However, there are GRL PWR, Bitch Please, and other varieties available. And if fingerless gloves aren’t your thing, there are knitted drink sleeves, too!
Like handmade stuff, but prefer to do the making yourself?
Let’s get acquainted with my very favorite cross stitch shop: Plastic Little Covers.
Sarah gifted with me with this “I’m An Adult” completed cross stitch pattern. I’ve also purchased several patterns from this shop. The patterns are delivered as a PDF and are so incredibly easy to use. I find that cross stitching is a relatively inexpensive gift idea and, if you don’t want to search around for all the supplies, Plastic Little Covers sells kits as well.
Stop! COFFEE-TIME!
Takeya 1-Quart Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker, $20.99
I prefer drinking iced coffee over hot coffee and I love this dang thing. All you have to do is put 13-16 tablespoons of your favorite ground coffee in the filter, fill the jug with water, close, and stick that baby in your fridge. Leave it for a minimum of twelve hours and boom! Iced coffee!
And what’s a coffee maker without coffee?
Choose Your Flavors 5-Bag Sample Pack (Ground), $29.99
If you love flavored coffee, I can’t recommend Bones Coffee enough. I usually buy a sample pack of five 4oz. bags because there are just so many flavors to choose from. You can also buy the sample pack in whole bean.
So far, my favorite flavor is the Chocolate Orange.
ChickLitDesigns Alice in Wonderland Phone Case & Wallet, $29.00
Attention book nerds (that’s all of us, right?), get yourself one of these phone cases. Not only does it fit select phones, but it also contains slots for cash and cards. I owned this Beetlejuice inspired case for the longest time, customized with one of the shop’s wristlets.
And it wouldn’t be an Amanda gift post without mentioning a candle.
Wick and Fable Shire Candle, $6-18
Wick and Fable is, by far, my favorite indie candle company and this might be the best scent I’ve purchase from them. It’s so fresh and lovely! The candle is a light green and as it melts, you can see tiny bits of glitter in the wax. Their Etsy shop is on a bit of a break for the holidays, but you can visit their website to see all their current candles and order processing time.
…
And those are my favorite things this year! Happy holidays everyone!
I have one of those phone cases and it’s my favorite thing ever. It’s the first cute case that actually has also protected my phone! And it allows me to not need to carry a purse for the most part.
Those socks look toasty
So excited to try the coffees! Also wallet phone cases are amaaazzing at making my life easier.
I also have one of the phone cases. I have used them for years. I have Pride and Prejudice and I get compliments on it all the time. I used to have the Beetlejuice until my cat decided to gnaw on it.
Oh, I have seen the folding phone cases but none that made me want to buy them. These look wonderful!
