Are you ready to get hella-cozy? I hope so!
Today’s prize is:
A hand-knit shawl in a deep blue with a gorgeous enamel button, made by Elyse:

Close up of the button? Sure! It’s adorable:

What does this shawl look like when worn? Hold on to your shoulders because it’s wonderful.
This shawl is the Sasha Wrap by Sarah Smuland, and the pattern is on Ravelry.

The yarn is Blue Sky Fibers Techno in Tranquil, a deep blue color. The yarn is a mix of 68% baby alpaca / 22% silk / 10% extra fine merino. It’s incredibly soft and warm.
We’re pairing this with A Kindle e-Reader!
This Kindle has a 6″ touch screen with eInk text, and comes with WiFi, build-in Audible capabilities, and includes special offers.
And, to keep you warm from head to toe, we’re also adding a pair of plush-lined cable-knit slipper socks in fuzzy pink:

These socks are for women’s shoe sizes 4-10 (US), and are made of acrylic and polyester. They have plastic skid spots on the bottoms so you don’t slip. You’ll be hella toasty, right? I hope so.

I wrap myself in a quilt, curl up by the fire and pull out a romance or mystery novel with a glass of bourbon. Bonus points if there’s snow.
Hot chocolate! And as many fuzzy blankets as possible!
Layers of clothing, maybe a blanket or quilt, and a hot drink – the beverage depends on time of day and if I have to drive.
My new velour jammies, fleece socks, fuzzy blanket, and heating pad equal perfect cozy time. I also have a fleece robe that is The definition of cozy. I can’t forget my book of Kimdle. The heat must be turned down to 62 though. Otherwise, it’s just too much.
Getting cozy is sitting down in my recliner with a novel I’ve been dying to read, a hot copy of fruity tea, two (or more!) biscotti, and a Siamese cat warming my lap. Does not get better!
My favorite way to get toasty warm is sitting by a roaring fire under a fluffy blanket with a big cup of hot chocolate!
Thanks for all the awesomeness this year!!!
Put on oversized comfy sweats and bed socks with dancer’s legwarmers. Make some hot tea in my Brown Betty teapot and grab a stack of reading. Then I crawl under a lap quilt in my favorite recliner and enjoy… at least until I have to do something about all that tea I’ve been drinking.
Heated blanket, cup of tea, a good book, and fuzzy socks! Always a winning combination.
Curled up with cocoa and the dog, preferably in pajamas.
A mug of hot water and fuzzy slippers 🙂 Or when it’s a possibility, diving back under the covers for a bit!
My favorite way to get cozy is to sit in my armchair and read while drinking a cup of tea. If it’s cold enough, I’ll use my fleece-lined down throw, and things always feel cozier when I have a scented candle burning. For maximum coziness, snow or rain should be falling outside.
Cozy mohair blanket on my couch! Happy Hanukkah!
Book, tea, blanket, fire in the fireplace, and something delicious baking in the oven!
Cozy blanket, a cup of tea, and my kitties snuggled up with me while I read!
In a deep armchair in front of the gas fireplace with a cat draped around my neck like a shawl! It was my former cat (RIP) who did the neck-draping thing; the current one just perches next to me on the arm of the chair, which is still cozy.
A cup of Kona coffee, a good book, my kitty, five pillows, and a heating pad :0)
Cozy is my “uniform,” which is a pair of straight leg sweats with a draw-string waist and a sweatshirt so tattered that the collar ribbing has pulled loose and hangs like a necklace.
We keep a heap of throw blankets in a basket by the sofa. I love to snuggle up under at least one, but sometimes 2!
What a lovely shawl, Elyse! Hot chocolate, a good book, and a blanket help me get cozy.
Happy Hanukkah to those celebrating.
Cup of tea at hand, cat on lap, book open.
Wrapped in my favorite Star Wars blanket in my rocking chair.
cats, warm feet, and a good book.
A nice hot beverage of some variety, my ereader, and a fuzzy blanket (I still have my original Snuggy!) a kitty or two on my lap, and my black Lab snoozing on my feet. Perfection!
Oh, my word, I was trying to MAKE a shawl like this — and honestly? Fiber arts is my fave way to get toasty. I’m bad at it — SO bad at both knitting and embroidery — but it’s kind of hilarious to keep trying, and I enjoy it (until my eyes get tired, and then it’s time to read a book).
Snuggled up on my beat-up old sofa with a fleecy or down-filled blanket, a cup of warm (tea or cocoa) and a book or movie.
Conversely I also have a very cozy workspace now, as my husband’s old corner desk fits perfectly a corner of the living room where the heating vent is right at my feet. Put on my comfy sweats and my floofy Hogwarts slippers and listen to the SBTB podcast while I design.
My favorite cozy spot is in my recliner with my flannel blanket, a hot drink, a good Netflix series and a crocheting project.
A hot toddy in front of the fire!
That shawl is gorgeous! I love bundling up in a big sweater or cardigan and sipping on tea.
In bed or on the sofa with a pile of blankets and a cup of tea.
Wrapped in a quilt, sideways not he couch, pillow behind me and under my knees, decent light, good book, hot tea, small dog. Rain on roof is optional. Sometimes, if it’s a great rain, I could use the couch on the porch and be a little more bundled and maybe hot chocolate instead of tea.
Hot chocolate and a book
My pajama pants, a scarf, a blanket, and a book!
Knitting in front of our fireplace. Hackneyed, but true.
Warm jammies, a snuggly blanket, a cup of hot chocolate (with marshmallows), and a book.
Hot drink and a heartwarming book.
Oh, this is gorgeous- and I don’t have a Kindle! I love to get cozy with a blanket, a good book, hot tea, and a kitty or two on my lap.
A book and my bed is all I need to feel cozy!
Being cozy requires a hot beverage – coffee, tea, hot chocolate, mulled cider, spiced wine… Add a fuzzy blanket, and cozy happens!
Hot tea, fuzzy socks, fleece-lined blankets, a great book…those are the essentials.
Mulled wine & a fleece throw.
