  9. ms bookjunkie says:

On a weekend morning, I climb out of bed to fix my caffeine hit, then climb back under the covers with my caffeine, my book, my laptop (for knitting podcasts and checking SBTB and Ravelry), and my knitting. Then I slowly become a functioning, aware human being. After the day is over, I wind down with basically the same ritual, only substituting a caffeine-free herbal tea or tisane for the drink. *happy sigh*

  10. Bu says:

Spicy cocoa, homemade cookie or other sweet treat, snuggly duvet, amazing new show to finish watching, a comfort re-read lined up for after, nowhere to be.

  15. Ellie says:

I love winter because of the cozy factor. Hot tea, reading, blankets, heated mattress pad, fuzzy socks, winter is all about comfort for me. If I had to pick one, I’d say blankets are the key for me.

  16. Erin says:

My favorite way to get cozy is snuggled in on my couch with a warm blanket, a great book, and a mug of hot cocoa. Bonus points if it is softly snowing outside.

  17. KayKay says:

Tea, book, cat, fire in fireplace, nobody talking to me.

  18. My favorite way to get cozy is to curl up under my favorite soft blanket with my cat snuggled on my chest and a cup of strong, dark hot chocolate in arm’s-reach. Bliss!

  19. DebbieB says:

I have two favorite spots. During the day and early evening, I lay out on our couch in quiet splendor in fuzzy socks, with a large flowered pillow at my back, underneath a warm comforter and warm tea and Vienna Mocha Chunk ice cream with hot fudge and whipped cream next to me along with a good book. At night and after the kids are in bed, I enjoy reading while in my cozy Victoria Secret PJs (while also occasionally wearing earplugs), laying in my bed propped up with pillows and underneath warm blankets and our beautiful comforter, with hot chocolate and whipped cream at my side. Snuggling next to our youngest son when he has trouble sleeping and comes in to sleep with us is an added bonus! Happy Chanukkah!

  20. DiscoDollyDeb says:

Loading the dishwasher and cleaning up in the kitchen is my signal that my “work day” is over and it’s time to get comfy. I sit in “my” place on the couch, lamp on, phone, iPad, and kindle at the ready (access to my electronics is essential), my reading notebook (where I keep lists of books I want to read, have read, and what I thought of them—I’m totally old school in my tracking) at my side. If there’s not a sports game we want to watch, my husband and I will pick out a murder-mystery to watch (Midsomer/Barnaby, Inspector Lewis, Vera, Shetland, Poirot, Miss Marple, etc.), many of which are repeat viewings making it easier to read while watching. Perhaps a mug of hot chocolate (I love K-cups!) and/or some good quality dark chocolate to savor—and my evening is complete.

  21. Tina S. says:

Grabbing my Minky blanket and the cat (not necessarily in that order) and getting the fireplace going. Pot of tea? Well, why not!

  22. Make Kay says:

    Beautiful work, Elyse!
I put on fleece pants and jackets, sit under a fleece blanket, and turn the heater on when I want to feel cozy and warm

  23. Zuzus says:

Beautiful work, Elyse. We keep the house at 62F, so I have a lot of ways to keep warm and cozy. The first is always to remove my bra. Ahhhh.

  24. Erin says:

I love fuzzy socks and Christmas leggings or fuzzy fleece pj pants. Tea and a book doesn’t hurt either!

  25. Meli says:

Hot tea, warm blanket and cat on my feet

  30. Rebecca says:

Electric mattress pad. The coziest. Or if I can convince the toddler that sitting and snuggling is a thing, since he’s a cozy little toaster oven.

  31. Michele H. says:

Comfy pjs, fuzzy socks, blanket, microwaveable heating pad on my shoulders as I sit in my favorite chair. Hot beverage is a bonus, but not a necessity.

  32. Francene says:

Best way to get really warm is to crank up the heater in my car to 90 and drive. Just five minutes sitting in the warm car listening to the SPTB podcast is close to heaven. One reason I don’t mind going to pick up my kids.I can get there a few minutes early, read the latest romance novel on my Kindle, and soak in the warmth. Plus heated car seats are glorious.
That shawl is truly beautiful. Thank you to everyone who puts these gifts together. What a treat!!
