  3. Vicki says:

A settled life, not much drama at all, settling into my new little rental house, family doing well, getting a garden growing, feeling healthy and rested, returning to walking and bike riding, returning to writing and cooking and canning and sewing. In short, I want want some people might call a boring life. I will call it peace.

I would also be quite happy with peace on earth, or at least general politeness.

I’m trying to get back into the working game after a few years off due to an illness. My biggest wish is for a job that fits and I can enjoy doing.
I loved my old job before I couldn’t work anymore. It was perfect for me and it was that stereotypical ‘it doesn’t feel like work if you love it.’ I worry I will never find one I love again, so maybe I should just hope for one I don’t dread.

An old friend of mine passed away the weekend before Thanksgiving. I hadn’t had a chance to see her in the last year of her life because I was busy between work and school, and I deeply regret that I didn’t make time for her. In 2019, I am determined not to let that happen again. My hope is to spend more time with friends, even if it means not working quite so much or spending a little less time obsessing over what perfect phrase to put in an essay.

  14. Eliza says:

A much better paying career position and a move.
