His Wicked Charm
His Wicked Charm by Candace Camp is $1.99! Carrie read this one and gave it a C+:
It was an entertaining romance of what I call the soap bubble variety. It was pretty, it was entertaining, and when it was finished I forgot all about it.
Sometimes we can use a soap bubble read.
She’s too prim
Lilah Holcutt dislikes Constantine Moreland from the moment she meets him. He may be handsome, but he’s frivolous, rash, impulsive and, worst of all, a flirt. Now that Con’s twin brother has married Lilah’s best friend, she’s seeing way more of Con than she’d like. And when Con’s sisters are inexplicably kidnapped, Lilah’s own curiosity and stubbornness get the better of her, and she finds herself swept into Con’s investigation.
He’s indifferent to propriety
Con knows that Lilah hates him—he just wishes she weren’t so devastatingly beautiful, that he weren’t so attracted to her. Especially since they’re working closely together to solve the kidnapping, an adventure that leads them to Lilah’s peculiar childhood home, Barrow House, which sits atop an ancient fen and features an eerie maze on its grounds.
They’ll have to join together to conquer a sinister force
The more Con and Lilah uncover, the more they’re convinced that the answers lie buried deep within Barrow House—answers to a mystery darker than either of them could ever have realized.

Made for Us
Made for Us by Samantha Chase is $1.99! This is a contemporary romance with a homebuilding hero and an interior designer heroine. The description also alludes to a stranded plotline on account of an incoming hurricane. Readers really loved the hero and his brothers, but found the chemistry in the romance lacking. Several more of Chase’s books are also on sale!

John Dies at the End
John Dies at the End by David Wong is $2.99! This is a fun mix of humor, horror, and WTF. I loved reading this book, but I’m not sure how it holds up; I read it seven years ago. And word of advice, skip the mediocre film adaptation. The books is much better.
STOP. You should not have touched this flyer with your bare hands. NO, don’t put it down. It’s too late. They’re watching you. My name is David Wong. My best friend is John. Those names are fake. You might want to change yours. You may not want to know about the things you’ll read on these pages, about the sauce, about Korrok, about the invasion, and the future. But it’s too late. You touched the book. You’re in the game. You’re under the eye. The only defense is knowledge. You need to read this book, to the end. Even the part with the bratwurst. Why? You just have to trust me.
The important thing is this: The drug is called Soy Sauce and it gives users a window into another dimension. John and I never had the chance to say no. You still do. I’m sorry to have involved you in this, I really am. But as you read about these terrible events and the very dark epoch the world is about to enter as a result, it is crucial you keep one thing in mind: None of this was my fault.

Firstlife
Firstlife by Gena Showalter is $2.99! This scifi/fantasy YA novel is the first in the Everlife series, and it has a trippy, unique concept. Some readers felt the heroine was too perfect, while others loved the action and world-building Showalter created. It has a 3.7-star rating on Goodreads.
ONE CHOICE.
TWO REALMS.
NO SECOND CHANCE.Tenley “Ten” Lockwood is an average seventeen-year-old girl…who has spent the past thirteen months locked inside the Prynne Asylum. The reason? Not her obsession with numbers, but her refusal to let her parents choose where she’ll live—after she dies.
There is an eternal truth most of the world has come to accept: Firstlife is merely a dress rehearsal, and real life begins after death.
In the Everlife, two realms are in power: Troika and Myriad, longtime enemies and deadly rivals. Both will do anything to recruit Ten, including sending their top Laborers to lure her to their side. Soon, Ten finds herself on the run, caught in a wild tug-of-war between the two realms who will do anything to win the right to her soul. Who can she trust? And what if the realm she’s drawn to isn’t home to the boy she’s falling for? She just has to stay alive long enough to make a decision…

WICKED AND THE WALLFLOWER by Sarah MacLean is $1.99
JUST FOR HIM: THE COMPLETE SERIES by Talia Hibbert is $0.99
I snapped up both!
Amazon is having a one day sale on a number of romances, including Alyssa Cole’s A Duke by Default for $1.99.
Also a KDD: Saddle Up by AM Arthur. Third in the clean slate ranch MM series. I’ve read the first two and liked them.
I read His Wicked Charm a week ago and I am obsessed. Sure, it’s campy as hell, but it’s also incredibly tender and funny. Things go off the rails a little towards the end but it had charmed me enough leading up to that point that I did not mind.
