BigStock reached out to us about featuring their portfolio in our entries, and we had so much fun exploring, we wanted to share some of our favorite images. There are some seriously talented photographers at work in stock imagery.
There’s also a lot of gold to be mined when it comes to stock photos. Every month, we’ll share with you some great, beautiful, or downright silly things we’ve come across on BigStock. Beware of plot bunnies!
This month’s theme: Attractive people who love food
You’re new in town and scoping out the local coffee shops. After all, you need a cozy place to get away from your very odd new roommate (hey, the rent was cheap!). This adorable barista laughs as you stare, agog, at their huge list of artisan, fair-trade coffees, but is patient. She’s happy to help you make your decision. And tell you all about the great food spots downtown.

Look, I don’t know what’s going on here. Perhaps it’s a fever dream. But regardless, you stumble across two shirtless Swedish men. They are freshly waxed and ready to bake some bread. Outdoors. As you do. You’re not about to stop them. Instead, you cross your fingers for a stiff breeze so things can really get messy.

She’s a tough as nails sommelier and she’s tired of dudes mansplaining tannins and “oaky notes” to her. You’re a distributor, who has helped stock her wine bar for years. There are light flirtations, but typically it’s always business. What if you asked to see her outside of your bi-weekly visits? What are you waiting for? She’s a busy woman and doesn’t have time for hesitancy!

Prove It is a globally-watched baking competition and you’ve made the cut. There’s just one problem: you aren’t supposed to crushing on your competition! But he’s just so cute. And charming. And the way he kneads that dough. Don’t get us started on his focaccia. Will your attraction achieve the perfect rise?

Cheesecake is you favorite dessert. Fresh berries and a homemade coulis are even better. But what’s really the best about this dessert is that it’s made with love. You’ve had a tough year, but things are turning around. A great new job. A healthy relationship. And you’re in the process of adopting your dream dog from a rescue organization. It’s only fair to celebrate with cheesecake. The best cheesecake made by your partner.

Which foodie is your favorite? I suppose you could pick them all if you really wanted.
These people are all so cute and I want romance stories about all of them.
There’s a to-go coffee on Mr. Focaccia’s workstation, so he’s clearly already got something cooking low and slow with Ms. Barista.
I truly, madly, deeply want the busy sommelier to let down her guard with the sexy distributor and ease off her suit jacket, and for a conversation over tastings to go from flirty to downright salacious, talking about things like “mouthfeel” and “full-bodied”.
The first picture is clearly Chastity Adofo, barista/vampire hunter, from Talia Hibbert’s recent shifter novel.
Someone please write the Prove It romance! I NEED it!!!!!!!
The barista and Prove It Man are giving me Feelings, and I am not made about that.
So may I suggest we call the baking competition Proof It instead of Prove It?
