The Thinking Woman’s Guide to Real Magic by Emily Croy Barker is $1.99! This book was the subject of a solved HaBO from yesterday. I highly recommend checking out the HaBO because the request is totally bananas. So bananas that you just might have to read it.

Highland Conquest by Alyson McLayne is $1.99! This is the second book in The Sons of Gregor MacLeod and I read and liked the first book in the series. Readers like the heroine, who disguises herself as a boy. They also said this book can be read as a standalone. However, some felt part of the book’s conflict was solved rather quickly.

If you are new to romance, or if you are new to science fiction, this probably won’t be the book to win you over to either genre. But, if you want to have a great time with some familiar tropes that are vividly and freshly drawn, then you will have a wonderful time reading Collision Course.

Hot Pursuit by Jennifer Bernard is 99c! This is a small town romance in the Jupiter Point series. This is the fifth book in the series and the main couple has appeared in previous books, but this can be read as a standalone. Readers really loved the heroine, Merry. However, some say the main characters felt different in this book when compared to their appearances in previous titles.
Deputy Will Knight and reporter Merry Warren couldn’t be more different—she’s the queen of questions, he’s the king of no comment. The inquisitive beauty drives Will crazy with her feisty attitude and sassy mouth…the one with the full lips just made for kissing. Not that he’s noticed. Much. He’s too busy working an arson case that may be tied to something bigger, helping his brothers prepare for the opening of their new flight-seeing business, and spending what little free time he has flirting with an online mystery woman.

Thinking woman’s guide to real magic is one of my FAVORITE BOOKS OF ALL TIME!!!!! be warned that there is a bit of a cliffhanger ending and the author is working on the sequel but I don’t think there’s a publication date or anything yet.
One Dance with a Duke by Tessa Dare is $1.99.
The Puffin Island Complete Series boxed set by Sarah Morgan is currently $2.99. 4 books that retail for about $5 each. I’ve read the first one and really liked it.
There was a lot I liked about A Thinking Woman’s Guide To Real Magic, but the wizard ended up ruining it for me – he’s just an awful person. He teaches her magic, and that’s cool, but he treats her terribly and disrespects her constantly. It’s very similar to Uprooted in that way, and even though everybody loved that book, I’ll happily start a rant on the asshole angry old male magician trope.
