This Wednesday, June 27th, I will be hosting an awesome romance event at Down the Road Beer Co. in Everett, MA! Down the Road just came out with a Rosé-Colored Spectacles, which is a rosé raspberry sour and seems perfect for romance reading.
We’ll have our own private room to hang out and read passages from our favorite romance novels. Participants will be able to choose a blind date with a book and will be in the running to win a taproom gift card.
The event is free, though having a beer is definitely encouraged, and it’ll run from 7pm to 8:30pm. The brewery has ample parking and is accessible by public transit (I catch a bus from Sullivan Station).
The taproom has a ton of pinball machines, if you’d like to take a break from the romancing. I don’t believe they’ll have a food truck that night, but plenty of places deliver to the taproom and you can also bring your own food.

This makes me kinda sad. I’m always tempted by the Boston area meet-ups, but the lead time tends to be so short. Boston’s the closest to my southern CT home, but it’s not an insignificant drive and I probably would need a week to talk myself into it. Oh well, maybe I’m deluding myself, as I’m sadly subject to stranger danger and the short lead time may just be an excuse. Sigh. . . .
@PamG: I definitely apologize on the short notice. The date was finalized and announced last night for the venue. It’d be great if you could make it, but don’t beat yourself up about it if not! There will always be more meet-ups in the future.
