It’s hard to say what my ideal box would be. There are many authors that are must-reads for me, but I came love a lot of them through SBTB recommendations. So, new authors are welcome, too! I read across many genres but my favorites are historical, paranormal, fantasy and realistic romances or with strong romantic elements.
My dream box of books would be full of all my dream inclusiveness in books. Sex worker characters who just exist and don’t have to fall in love with their clients! Characters with disabilities that are explored but are not the central struggle of the book! Non-binary HEAs! A completely mixed group of POC friends who show us rather than tell us their backgrounds! Oh and so much more…
It would also be full of feel-good sci-fi and like a boatload of non-Anglo historical romances.
My dream box of books would include romance or mystery novels set in Ireland, Scotland, Australia, or New Zealand. I’ve also been wanting some good, atmospheric gothic novels (can be new or old). I would love all of Nora Roberts’s backlist-although I already own many of them. I’d love some sports romance novels set during the Olympics, preferably figure skating/gymnastics. I’d love my own copy of 11/22/63 by Stephen King. I’d also love a romance set during the 1950s or 1960s.
My dream box would be Nora Roberts/JD Robb entire backlist. I have read so many Roberts, but there are still so many I havenāt gotten to and they donāt go on-sale too often. I have read very little Robb, but would love to read the series from the beginning.
Honestly any free books are welcome, but Iād love signed books by Ilona Andrews, all of her series.
I think my dream box of books (at the moment) would ones about or with stories happening in far off places. Europe, Asia, South America, all sound good to me! Ive got a yen for travel and no time to do it (just yet) except through books
Commenting.
I think my dream box would just be to win a box! I love new authors and also love rereading old favorites. Thank you for having this giveaway.
My dream box would be full of Georgette Heyer novels in hardcover editions. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to find three of them in secondhand bookstores, but I’m greedy and want them all.
A mix of my favorite compete series that I can treasure, as well as, new interesting reads. I read many genres and would love to get a little bit of everything.
My dream box would consist of books that are all slow burn romances. Outside of Mariana Zapata they are very hard to find. The books I like donāt have to be Zapata slow but I prefer it when characters get to know each other before claiming theyāre in love.
My dream box would include a some first editions and a smattering of my favorite generes: historical fiction, romance, fantasy and science fiction. Basically, I adore books so I’d probably be happy with anything. š
Ooh a dream box of a couple of old favourites and some new goodies to expand my horizons. Even better would be a surprise bar of chocolate tucked in there; I will supply my own cuppa tea and rainy day š
My dream box would be as many beautiful editions of the Brontes and Jane Austen as possible – I see so many pretty editions out there but my wallet keeps telling me “You don’t need ANOTHER copy of Sense and Sensibility!” š
Free books are always a dream, no matter what! Have to lean to the classics though…
I think my dream box of books would be a box full of personalized signed copies of my favorite historical romances (Sarah MacLean, Tessa Dare, Courtney Milan, Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn, Alyssa Cole). But really, a box of books that I didn’t pay for? It doesn’t get much better than that!
Any box of books would be a dream. A great chance to discover new authors!
Dream box would definitely include some new releases on my to-read list, plus a book that I’d never think to pick up but is the perfect surprise waiting for me!
My dream box would be full of much-anticipated new releases by favourite authors (maybe even authors who are dead and so won’t have any new releases to look forward to, but in a dream box that doesn’t count, does it?). I love reading books as soon as they come out, but unfortunately my budget doesn’t love that habit…
And my cat’s dream box is a box.
My favorite would just be a surprise grab box. When my Grandma was alive she would, every month or so give me a sack of ‘friends of the library’ cast offs and books she’d gotten from Costco that month and had finished. I loved the not knowing what I was going to find! So PLEASE send something my way! š š Thanks ladies! Love what you do!
I don’t have a favorite genre. I’m new to reading romance novels. I found your site by accident and thought the title was interesting and different. So, I would be happy with any of the books. Momma always told me “never to turn down free stuff”.
A great box of books for me would be a good mix of genres with some new authors to try!
My dream box of books would have a variety of paranormal romance, leaning more toward urban fantasy than traditional romance, with some bad-ass heroines who take charge and don’t wait around for a hero to save them. But the box would also have maybe a few sci-fi and/or YA tales as well, for variety. Oh, and also a new Courtney Milan book in the Trade Me series, featuring Adam f—– Reynolds. (Yeah, I know that one doesn’t exist yet, but this is my fantasy box of books.)
I would like a box full of signed copies that smell like cats, just to annoy my dogs.
I love all genres but I would love new authors or books in the following genres contemporary, m/m, paranormal and frankly a really good sci-if romance – along the lines of Linnea Sinclair and Susan Grant.
My dream box would contain new to me authors with books where the main characters are fully capable of speaking to each other and straightening out their misunderstandings.
Dream box would be a huge collection of books I’ve never read before but have annotations from previous readers that loved them that only appear after I’ve read the book for the first time.
I’d like anything the bitches really loved reading! I read pretty much any subgenre and I’m always up for new-to-me much-enjoyed reads.
I just cleaned out my own shelves, so I have room for whatever you send me. I will try anything once. On top of that, I will send the books to the local jail when I am done.
Iām just getting in to romance so thereās really no wrong answer for me! But I think my dream box would be a variety of historicals by different authors.
If I could get a box of signed, first edition Harry Potters, that would be great. Same with Narnia. Or anything, really.
A box of historicals set in regency England with great characters and plot lines, but with all the frivolity and drama of the Regency era. I love submersing myself in such silliness after a tough day at work!
My dream box of books is new-to-me authors, preferably historical romance and first in series.
My dream box would have specific editions of some of my favorite series! Specifically, the Australian editions of Libba Bray’s Diviners series, and the editions of Patricia C. Wrede’s Enchanted Forest Chronicles that have the cover art by Trina Schart Hyman. What can I say? I’m a sucker for a good cover design.
Oh what a good giveaway! A box of random books would be exciting to me. A box of first edition classics? Like winning the lottery!
My dream box of books would be a whole bunch of books in a variety of genres that the giver loved. I have wide ranging tastes, and love sharing book suggestions!
I would love a box of fantasy novels with a lot of strong female protagonists!
A box full of sci-fi and fantasy romances from authors I haven’t tried yet.
Tricky question! My dream box of books (from the real world) would be heavy on brilliant fantasy, paranormal, dark fairy tales and historical romance by authors new to me, probably all in hardback as I can’t afford them very often. No horror/thrillers.
In a world with time travel? It would contain the rest of Nalini Singh”s Guild Hunter series, the last Kate Daniels book & next Hidden Legacy books by Ilona Andrews, the complete works of Sappho, all future works by Ursula Vernon and N K Jemisin, a preChristian version of the Irish Mythological Cycle, and Love’s Labour’s Won by Shakespeare.
In a fantasy world? It would have finished versions of the following books, completed by the original author : Sanditon and The Watsons by Jane Austen, The Islands of Chaldea by Diana Wynne Jones, Dream of the Red Chamber by Cao Xueqin, and Thrones, Dominions by Dorothy L Sayers, along with at least one more new book by all of the above. Oh, and a few more Discworld books and a sequel to Robin McKinley’s Sunshine, if that’s not too much to ask!
This has been great fun to think about & I have loved reading everyone’s responses – thanks for the inventive question!
It would be a box full of hard covers of all the old books I loved and read way back when. Mary Stewart, Victoria Holt, some of the old Harlequins (OK, some paperbacks, too), TH White, Phyllis Whitney, Madeline Brent, Ursula Le Guin, John Steinbeck, Dashell Hammett, Raymond Chandler, Dorothy Sayers, Arthur C Clarke, many more. I am working on doing this myself, looking in yard sales and thrift stores and library sales.
