Rogue Hearts

Rogue Hearts is available for preorder for only 99c! This anthology is the fourth in The Rogue series and releases May 8th. There are six romances in this one and if you haven’t read the previous collections, you should! Redheadedgirl read the first one, Rogue Desire, and gave it a B+.
*From high office to the heartland, six brand-new romances about #resistance for readers who haven’t given up hope for a Happily Ever After… *
In Her Service by Suleikha Snyder
U.S. Vice President Letitia Hughes has one thing that’s hers and only hers: her relationship with much younger Secret Service agent Shahzad Khan. When push comes to shove, what will take precedence: political ambitions or protecting their hearts?
Run by Emma Barry
Public defender Maddie Clark doesn’t want to be a candidate for the state senate—but she’s running. Her high school nemesis turned campaign advisor Adam Kadlick shouldn’t be back home managing campaigns—but he is. They definitely should avoid falling for each other—but they won’t.
The Rogue Files by Stacey Agdern
Reporter John DiCenza wants to go back. To New Jersey, to his life, the hockey team he covers, and the fanbase he’s proud to know and support. Back to before he had the Rogue Files, documents rumored to be the final nail in President Crosby’s term.
Journalist Sophie Katz wants to move forward. Toward her new TV show, and a life where the stories she tells will make a difference. She needs the Rogue Files and the story behind them to get there.
But when life comes at them, John and Sophie realize that the true story behind the files is standing up for the truth right where you are.
Coming Up Rosa by Kelly Maher
When her mother’s health crisis forces Rosa Donnelly back to her hometown, she crosses paths with her former crush, and town golden boy, Ian Stroman. Ian’s shine is even brighter thanks to his advocacy work to fight inhumane government policies. However, their past hurts and a current business threat may spike their chance at happiness.
The Sheriff & Mr. Devine by Amy Jo Cousins
There’s a new sheriff in Clear Lake and he has Eli Devine, the town librarian, on edge. Between arguing with the town council about inclusive library programming and keeping his three grandmas from getting into trouble, Eli has enough on his plate already. He doesn’t need the imposing Sheriff Baxter to be so very . . . distracting. Luckily for Eli, John Baxter is full of all kinds of good ideas, both for the town and for one stubborn librarian in particular.
Good Men by Tamsen Parker
Laid-back Benji Park is the keyboard player for the world’s hottest boy band, License to Game. While LtG is no stranger to charity gigs, Benji’s never been what you’d call a social justice warrior. But when smart, sexy, and ruthless immigration lawyer Jordan Kennedy comes along and asks Benji for a favor, he just may change his tune.

The Wolf Who Loved Me by Lydia Dare is either $1.99 or $2.99 depending on your preferred vendor. This is a paranormal Regency romance and I’m finding myself really liking the cover. Don’t ask me why. Readers say this paranormal is more on the fluffier side, but others didn’t much like the heroine. It has a 3.8-star rating on Goodreads.
Regency England Has Gone to the Wolves!
Lady Madeline Hayburn Has Money Problems…
Specifically, she has so much of it that she’s dogged by fortune hunters, including her bewilderingly attractive, penniless neighbor, with his wild nature and uncouth manners.
Weston Hadley Has An Identity Crisis…
Specifically, he’s just turned into a wolf while Madeline was watching. Now it’s up to the regal lady to tame the wild beast…if she can.

Ruthless by Gina L. Maxwell is 99c! This is the second book in the Playboys in Love series and it’s a contemporary erotic romance. Some reviewers also labeled it as “menage” so there might be a menage scene in there somewhere. The book also turns into a workplace romance, which is something we often see talked about in the comments with our current #MeToo movement.
People call me Ruthless for a reason.
Whether I’m in the court room or in the bedroom, my reputation is well-earned. I’m either working hard, working out, or working my way into some woman’s panties. But none of them share my particular kink, and I walk away feeling unsatisfied.
Until I met her.
She’s a friend of a friend, which makes her off-limits in my book. But then temptation had me by the balls and I had her up against a wall. She literally fucked my world off its axis, but it can’t happen again.
My plan was avoidance, but that got blown to shit when my firm hired her as a new junior attorney. Now I’m her boss, and I’m supposed to act like I don’t want to bend her over my desk every five minutes.
But I’ve never held myself back with anything before, so consequences be damned. It’s time to take what I want and show her how damn good it feels…to be ruthless.
Each book in the Playboys in Love series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order.

Wicked in His Arms by Stacy Reid is 99c! This historical romance is the second book in the Wedded by Scandal series, but it can be read as a standalone. The hero and heroine get locked in a closet together, which sounds pretty dang cute. There’s also a marriage of convenience element as well. Some readers felt the hero and heroine disliked each other too much, but others felt this one was a great read with lots of tension.
Tobias Walcott, the Earl of Blade, has learned it is best to exercise rigid control over his passions and emotions in all that he does. Uncaring that it makes him seem cool and aloof to most in the ton, he is content with his desire to only woo agreeable and demur females. Then unforeseen circumstances see him trapped in a closet at a house party with the last woman he would ever make his countess.
Lady Olivia Sherwood is everything he should not desire in a female—unconventional, too decisive, and utterly without decorum. But passion ignites between them and they are discovered. Honor demands they wed, and while Tobias finds himself unwillingly drawn to the bewitching beauty, he must do everything not to tempt the passion that burns in him for her, lest it leads to disastrous consequences.

She literally fucked my world off its axis, but it can’t happen again.
Not enthused about a hero prioritizing his boner over the heroine’s job, but picturing Chris Traeger chirping that line with a cheery finger snap makes the blurb 100x better.
Also, I assume during this wall-banging Madam Heroine stuck her finger in his ear canal and gave him vertigo? I’m not sure how else one can literally have one’s axis fucked.
“She’s a friend of a friend, so off-limits…” How the heck do characters in Romancelandia ever meet anyone? Siblings’ friends and friends’ siblings are off-limits, as are friends’ exes and the widows of dead friends. Now friends of friends aren’t available! Jeez, for a genre with a righteous amount of boning, it’s amazing how limited the potential partners pool is!
@DiscoDollyDeb: I was going to say time travel is clearly the only option left, but unless you’ve done a comprehensive genealogy back to the dawn of mankind, you wouldn’t know how to avoid banging an ancestor, which is definitely out.
Come to think of it, strangers are also frowned upon, so I guess every hookup is officially taboo now. Spicy!
“Fingersmith” by Sarah Waters is on sale for $1.99, if you’d like a historical English lesbian erotic romance with some very sneaky and satisfying plot twists.
“Excellent Women” by Barbara Pym is on sale today for $1.99– think Jane Austen-esque novel of manners but set in 1950s England

A Seditious Affair, the second book in KJ Charles’s Society of Gentlemen series, is 1.99 at Amazon.
I’m a fan of contemporary workplace romances. But in a post-Weinstein era, there are so many that cross the line. If your subordinate says stop, even if she’s really secretly into it, stop. I’ve DNFed a bunch of books recently that don’t stop at that line.
I read a Christmas novella by Anna Campbell where the hero an heroine were locked in a closet together, “Her Christmas Earl”. So good I’m ready to try the same trope again!

@Karin, in Laura Kaye’s contemporary novella Hearts in Darkness, the hero and heroine are trapped together in an elevator. Might that be close enough?
