Wrong Number, Right Guy by Elle Casey is $1.99! This is the first book in The Bourbon Street Boys series and all the other books are discounted as well. Readers recommended this for fans of romantic comedy contemporaries. However, others felt the amount of comedy bordered on immature.

Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst is $1.99! This is a YA lesbian romance. Carrie read this one and gave it a C+ in a Lightning Review:
I liked the romance, especially the way Denna imparts some common sense to Mare and Mare wakes up Denna’s rebellious side. The book has one of the most delightful last lines of all time. That said, the romance is fairly lightly sketched in the midst of political drama, and without sufficient world building the political drama is just noise. I have no sense of what these kingdoms are like or why I should care about their alliances.
Betrothed since childhood to the prince of Mynaria, Princess Dennaleia has always known what her future holds. Her marriage will seal the alliance between Mynaria and her homeland, protecting her people from other hostile lands. But Denna has a secret. Readers loved the outdoorsy heroine, though some felt they were bored with the romance. It has a 4.1-star rating on Goodreads.

In a Treacherous Court by Michelle Diener is $2.99! This is the first book in the Susanna Horenbout and John Parker series and the covers in this series are so gorgeous. Though the series seems to focus on the same hero and heroine, I didn’t see any mention of a cliffhanger in the first book. Have you read this one?

Ruin of a Rake by Cat Sebastian is on sale for $0.99!
In a Treacherous Court does not end on a cliffhanger. I read it when it first came out and while I don’t remember huge amounts about it, I do remember that. I think there are some plot threads that continue into the next book, but no cliffhanger, at least not where the two lead characters are concerned.
I adored “In A Treacherous Court”. There are 2 other novels plus a short story, and I would give my eyeteeth for Michelle Diener to write more. There are no relationship cliffhangers in the books, each one has a self-contained mystery/spy/political intrigue plot. I love the Tudor setting, the fact that the heroine has a career, and neither of them are nobility. It’s a page-turner, lots of action.
I too love Diener’s Tuder series. I think they should be read in order, as the relationships grow and develop between characters with each additional book. I also hope another book will be written!
