We are in the homestretch to PassionFlix’s launch and I’m getting incredibly excited! If you’re still wavering about whether or not to get a pre-subscription and become a Founding Member yet, here are some more updates that may help you make that decision!
PassionFlix has added more books to their adaptation lineup, including several books by Jodi Ellen Malpas and Jennifer L. Armentrout’s YA fantasy Wicked Saga. I’m particularly interested in the latter to see what the production team can do with fantasy elements in addition to contemporary-set romances.
Here’s a teaser trailer from PassionFlix that lists even more titles!
For all Sylvia Day fans, PassionFlix has picked up the Afterburn & Aftershock duet, and they’ve released some behind-the-scenes photos to founding members! If you’re curious about PassionFlix’s promises to invite Founding Members to sets, I can say that I’ve received two so far. However, they were both in the Los Angeles area and I’m in the Northeast. Maybe someday the stars will align and I’ll get to see some filming in action!
Lastly, PassionFlix has released the trailer to their first PassionFlix original adaption – Hollywood Dirt by Alessandra Torre. I haven’t read the book, but the trailer looks really good. Admittedly, I’m surprised at how interested I am. The actress who plays the heroine is gorgeous and the hero’s first sultry line of, “What do you have for me?” made me all tingly.
Here, watch!
What do you think? It looks cute, right?
Now, if you’re looking for more information about the Founding Member subscription, here are the details:
The Founding Member subscription is $100 and you receive:
- A 2 year subscription (a 30% savings)
- Invitation for a walk on role, premiere parties, or visit to set
- Voting privileges on “Casting Your Book Boyfriend,” an exclusive reality show to find the next romantic leading man
- Discounts on Passionflix merchandise
- Take advantage of the site a month early and have your voice heard in the future of Passionflix
- Be the first to know, via a private Founders club, about Passionflix projects, options, casting, and news
The Founding Membership price of $100 for two years breaks down to about $4.17 per month, which I think it pretty great for all the extra perks.
I’ve been incredibly impressed by how informed PassionFlix has been keeping their members with upcoming and current projects. Each email or announcement they send leaves me feeling excited to see what’s next. Everything seems promising so far, and I’m looking forward to seeing their full movie library next month.

Are you a Founding Member yet? Have any questions I can answer? What’d you think of the trailer?
I’m waffling on the idea of film adaptations of romance novels, but only because I get so attached to the way I picture the characters in my head when I read. I think I’d actually be more likely to watch the ones that I haven’t read beforehand.
That said, this really does look adorable. The production values appear surprisingly high, and everyone seems to be having a good time. It’s not easy to tell all that much from a trailer, but I’ve been on enough film sets with enough cranky actors to believe that the enthusiasm here is genuine. Kudos to Passionflix for tapping (heh) this underserved market!
Holy crap I thought I recognised the actress! Had to look it up cos it was driving me crazy and turns out she was Hannah in Hollyoaks! I remember watching it when she was just kid. For all the non U.K. peeps it’s a younger, more sexy type of British soap that also gave the world Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei in Game of Thrones) and Ricky Whittle (Shadow in American Gods) you’re welcome ; )
Now I remember where I know the actress in the second trailer from! She played Anastasia/The Red Queen in ‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’. (It was a short-lived spin-off of ‘Once Upon a Time’.)
