  • Tapped

    Tapped by Liz Crowe

Tapped by Liz Crowe is 99c! Man, this book is all of my catnip. This is an erotic contemporary romance with some menage elements. There’s also no cliffhanger as the third in the relationship is the hero of the next book. It definitely is high on the explicit sex scale, but some readers warn of insta-love.

A hot hook-up in a cold beer cooler changes everything…

When wealthy brewery owner Austin Fitzgerald meets sexy saleswoman Evelyn Benedict, angry sparks fly. They seem destined to clash, until a hot hook-up in a cold beer cooler changes everything.

For Austin, it’s a life-altering moment that sets him on a path away from his birthright, while Evelyn must face her fears about committing to a man considered the playboy of the micro-brewing world.

The power of preconceived notions nearly tears them apart—until they meet up with brew master Ross, who opens their eyes to a deeper, even more erotic connection.

But three strong personalities don’t always make for the best emotional mix and when a simple misunderstanding causes chaos, it’s up to Ross to repair the tattered shreds of their relationship.

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of explicit sex, including scenes of M/M intimacy.

  • Never Deceive a Duke

Never Deceive a Duke by Liz Carlyle

Never Deceive a Duke by Liz Carlyle is $1.99! This is the second book in the Neville & Family Friends series, but it can be read as a standalone. Some readers felt the writing was too modern for the setting, while others liked the tortured hero. Also, some of the reviews mentioned that the hero is Jewish. It has a 3.7-star rating on Goodreads.

They call her the porcelain princess…

With her fragile beauty and regal bearing, the Duchess of Warneham knows how to keep her admirers at a distance. Twice wed and twice widowed, Antonia has vowed never again to marry; never again to surrender her freedom. But when her husband’s death is deemed suspicious, and his long-lost heir returns to seize control of the dukedom, she finds that fate has placed her future in yet another man’s hands—but not just any man.

    They call him a cold-hearted bastard…

Deep in London’s docklands, Gareth Lloyd runs Neville Shipping with an iron fist. Unrecognizable as the starving orphan who was abandoned by his family and sent an ocean away from home, Gareth has put his troubled past behind him. That is, until the Duke of Warneham is murdered, and Gareth turns out to be the dynasty’s last living heir. Wrenched from his solitude, Gareth neither wants nor needs the honors and obligations of nobility—especially the Duke’s all-too-tempting widow…Or does he?

  • Kindling the Moon

Kindling the Moon by Jenn Bennett

Kindling the Moon by Jenn Bennett is $2.99! This is the first book in the Arcadia Bell urban fantasy series. Some felt the book was a bit boring, despite how exciting the book sounded. However, others found the premise pretty interesting and thought it was a great start to the series.

Meet Arcadia Bell: bartender, renegade magician, fugitive from the law. . . .

Being the spawn of two infamous occultists (and alleged murderers) isn’t easy, but freewheeling magician Arcadia “Cady” Bell knows how to make the best of a crummy situation. After hiding out for seven years, she’s carved an incognito niche for herself slinging drinks at the demon-friendly Tambuku Tiki Lounge.

But she receives an ultimatum when unexpected surveillance footage of her notorious parents surfaces: either prove their innocence or surrender herself. Unfortunately, the only witness to the crimes was an elusive Æthyric demon, and Cady has no idea how to find it. She teams up with Lon Butler, an enigmatic demonologist with a special talent for sexual spells and an arcane library of priceless stolen grimoires. Their research soon escalates into a storm of conflict involving missing police evidence, the decadent Hellfire Club, a ruthless bounty hunter, and a powerful occult society that operates way outside the law. If Cady can’t clear her family name soon, she’ll be forced to sacrifice her own life . . . and no amount of running will save her this time.

  • Mad About the Baron

Mad About the Baron by Bianca Blythe

Mad About the Baron by Bianca Blythe is 99c! This is the fourth book in the Matchmaking for Wallflowers series, and you can stock up on all four books for less than $12. Readers enjoyed the case of mistaken identity, but others said it was missing the humor they loved from the previous books. It has a 4-star rating on Goodreads.

    A hopeless romantic…
Veronique Daventry absolutely believes in true love. When the baron she’s corresponded with for years over long distance suggests they elope in Scotland, she eagerly assents. Perhaps she’s never met him, but she’s certain their souls are meant to be joined for eternity.

    A notorious rogue…
Lord Miles Worthing is surprised when he is ushered to a chapel on a visit to Scotland and finds a beautiful woman. His happiness halts when her family discovers them in a compromising position.

    A mistaken identity…
Veronique is devastated to have mistaken this stranger for her fiancé. She needs to find the correct baron at once, but the only person who can help her is the man who makes her heart race as it absolutely should not.

I thought Never Deceive a Duke was yummy. It’s been on my watch list waiting for a price drop. Yeah!

  2. Lora says:

I’d buy that last one just for the cover. Reminds me of the Luxe series which I had to own in paperback so I could ogle those luscious dresses!

  3. Susan says:

I loved the Arcadia Bell series. The publisher pulled the plug early, but Bennett did a great job of wrapping things up convincingly with no loose threads. If you like UF and haven’t already tried this series, give it a whirl.

I also liked Carlyle’s Neville series. The first book was my favorite, but this one was good, too.

  4. I LOVED Tapped! Definitely not a cliffhanger, kinda like you just want more at the end and you get it in the next book.

The 2nd book in the Brewing Passion series is just $2.34 on Amazon

I got an email today about an LGBT fantasy story bundle deal – https://storybundle.com/lgbt (from an author newsletter)

It’s not specifically romance. I’ve only read two of the 12 – The Secret Casebook of Simon Feximal by KJ Charles and Point of Hopes by Melissa Scott and Lisa A Barnett – and they are both fantastic, and they both include understated mm romances.

I’ve never heard of story bundle before – if I understand this right, you can name your price – a minimum of $5 gets you the bundle of 5 books. A minimum of $15 gets you 7 more bonus books. It looks like a good deal and an interesting promotional concept.

  8. LML says:

Oooh, thank you, T. I haven’t read any of Christina Dodd’s contemporary romances yet.

  9. cleo says:

Also – Riptide’s bi romances are 50% off this week for Pride month – http://www.riptidepublishing.com/2017-pride-sale-week-3

And Mission: Improper by Bec McMaster is free – not sure if this is steampunk or not, but it is PNR

  10. Vasha says:

OK, if I didn’t already own most of the contents of that story bundle, I’d be grabbing it so fast you couldn’t see my hand move. It contains Death by Silver, an m/m romance in magical Victorian England that has fantastic characters and a fine sense of social dynamics; The Mystic Marriage, the even better sequel to Daughter of Mystery (you do have to read them in order) – TMM was one of my very favorite romances of 2015; a collection of stories by the amazing A. C. Wise, with a lot of f/f relationships, not necessarily romantic, but striking, bold, dark, fascinating stories… I cannot quite second the enthusiasm for The Casebooks of Simon Feximal — it was KJ Charles’s first book and that shows — but if you’re a fan of hers you should get it, especially if you liked the scarier parts of the Nagpur books.

  11. Antipodean Shenanigans says:

Tapped: Erotic contemporary romance with some menage elements. Enemies to lovers.

ONE CLICK ONE CLICK ONE CLICK!

  12. Ainsley says:

“a man considered the playboy of the micro-brewing world.” –this line is just so ridiculous it’s too good to be true. If only I liked reading M/M and ménage because I do love microbreweries!

  13. Nabpaw says:

I didn’t like Never Deceive A Duke. It just seemed like Carlyle piled the tragedies on top of both the H and h. I won’t go into what those tragedies were, but seriously there should be trigger alerts about them. I don’t even remember the romance, it just paled before how awful the H/h’s pasts were.
