Happy May! We’re currently at RT17 in Atlanta this week. If you’re attending the conference, we hope we get to see you. The RITAs are also underway and it’s been great interacting with all of you.

Leah of The Ripped Bodice wrote a great refresher for those looking to see the latest in the Fast and the Furious franchise:
MOVIE #2–2 Fast 2 Furious (get it?)
Okay, so this franchise was originally supposed to follow Paul Walker around the globe as he fought crime and stuff. So in the second movie, none of Vin’s family shows up. It is sad. We miss them.
Basically nothing that happens in this movie is ever referenced again.
EXCEPT Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris are introduced in this movie and they get to join Vin’s family later on and are in every movie.
There is also a cool scene where someone drives a car onto a yacht. This is the first in a soon-to-be franchise staple of putting cars where they should not be.
Important takeaways: We miss Vin.
Also, check out Redheadedgirl’s review of the latest movie, The Fate of the Furious.

Though I’m in a committed relationship, I kind of miss looking at all the goofy photos men post on Tinder. This piece by Amy Collier at The New Yorker pretty much sums up the variety of profile pics:
Photo No. 1
Behold my mackerel.
I have caught it for you and it is for you to eat. Love me, for I shall fill your dinner table with many fish such as this one in the days to come. During our time together, you will never go hungry or fear famine. You will never want for trout, salmon, or otherwise. I will sustain you with my love and with my fish.
Accurate.

If you’re at RT, Sarah is signing at the Giant Book Fair on Saturday. She’s in the W section, which I heard has all the AC.

Frixion Erasable Pens
I love these pens far more than is probably natural. They write smoothly, they erase for real (yes, way!), and they come in a bunch of colors. I have one with me at all times.

Are you a Disney fan? Love 1920s fashion? Well then you have to see these photos! Here’s a sneak peak:
I want all the dresses. Don’t you?

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

Is. Mackerel. A. Euphemism.
I truly can’t tell given the excerpt and having never been on Tinder, have no idea.
I hope not.
But kinda hope so because it makes the paragraph about it so much funnier.
@Crysta: It’s a very common thing for men to frequently feature photos of them at the gym or them holding a fish they caught.
Ok, that refresher was very entertaining, except people keep claiming Tokyo Drift doesn’t matter, which is serious lying liar pants on fire madness, and it is not ok.
As someone who’s on online dating, that article pretty much sums up the types of profile pictures I see. About the only one she missed was the “glaring at the camera like I want to kill you” photos. There are quite a few guys whose profile pictures make me wonder whether they’re looking for a date or a victim for their serial killing spree.
I also want all the 20s dresses.
