Links: Podcasts, Writing, & Comics!

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Welcome to Wednesday Links! I thought today was the last Wednesday of the month, but I was wrong and I feel like I no longer have any concept of days after returning from RT. Anyway, here are some awesome things!

Author Tamara Lush was on a previous podcast episode to talk about her writer residency on Amtrak. If you want to soak up more info on Lush’s experience, she wrote about it for PopSugar:

So the gist of the program was this: I would ride around the country on a train for two weeks and follow my muse. Pretty sweet, right? I picked a somewhat circular route around the country to coincide with a writing conference in New York, overstuffed my little rolling suitcase, and asked my readers for their favorite snack recipes.

The experience sounds like an absolute dream and Lush learned some valuable writing lessons.

While at RT, Sarah recorded a podcast episode with RomancePodden, a Swedish romance podcast. You can listen to the episode here!

Reader Suzanne was a previous podcast guest on the popular Couples Who Read Romance Together episode. She recently started a website that’s definitely of interest to SBTB fans; it focuses on romance in comics:

Love in Panels is all about the intersection of romance and comics. With a searchable database and ongoing blog, it’s the place to go for modern romance comics.

As with any media, comics span a range from “just a dash of romance” to “romance, straight-up.” We aim to match readers with the comics they want, based on the romanceiness, explicitness, and format they seek. We won’t be covering manga because that’s a HUGE market, covered elsewhere, and not what Suzanne reads.

We’ll post updates when new Kickstarters launch, when webcomics pop up, or when creators announce a new graphic novel. By covering all publishers and formats, we hope to help you find the content you crave.

The site has a super helpful database and I’m really excited to see it grow.

Laptop Cord Winders

I have one of these from Above the Fray, and it's great for keeping my MacBook cord contained and safe from being pulled or frayed. There are earbud winders, too! -SW

Lastly, enjoy the Page 100 Romance Instagram account. The account posts a quote from page 100 in classic romance novels.

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!
