Portable battery charger! I’m one of those people who gets itchy when their phone battery starts dropping below 90%. (Whereas my sister will let it get to 6% without batting a lash; it’s things like this that make me question if we’re really related.)
I’d like to preface this by saying that I travel for work because there’s a lot – I always have wallet, phones, earbuds, Kindle, business cards, pen, PowerBook, and the basic makeup essentials (good mascara, pressed powder, and lipstick/tinted lipgloss/chapstick).
But if wallet and phones are guaranteed and I can only have one other thing, it’s the Kindle.
A lip balm, a small notebook, and above all, something to read!!!

I never leave home without some sort of an e-reader. Usually my Kindle but I also keep my current book on my Kindle app on my iPhone. That one is great when I get stuck in a long line and the people around me aren’t interested in “Smart” conversation!
