Other than the usual (wallet, sunglasses, keys, pens, cell phone,reading material, water bottle and too many lipsticks to count), I have a Princess UniKitty from The Lego Movie light up key chain. My nephew gave her to me. I use it as a flashlight and she always makes me smile.

I’m a basic wallet, phone, and keys person with the phone being the most important. I once got stranded with a dead car and no phone and swore that I would never end up like that again.
I always have my Kindle, of course!! I also have a whole bunch of other stuff I probably don’t need, but I love tote bags just so I know I have room for whatever I’m reading at the time. I just did a Twilight series reread, and those books take up quite a bit of space, let me tell you! Lol

Boring answer, but my cell phone and a portable charger.
Other than my phone and wallet (and knife when not flying)? A couple things: lip balm – usually Bert’s Bees; pain killer; and ponytail holders. All are completely necessary to make it through the day.
I always have my lip balm and baby nail clippers to take care of hang nails before they snag on anything.
I would say the color is sea foam green, so pretty!!
I always carry around a mini pharmacy, some emergency makeup, and a travel deodorant. I’m not functional in the morning so I’m always running out the door to work and forgetting to take my prescription meds, put on mascara, or put on deodorant.
Aside from credit cards, I always carry lip balm. BTW, this is my favorite color!

The essentials for any bag – must fit my keys, purse (or at least credit card and some cash), phone and KINDLE.
Providing these fit, I can expand to add a lip balm, folding brush and my ziplock medical kit. If I’ve still got room then the miscellaneous junk that finds it way into every bag may migrate as well.

Oh, good lord, my purse is one of those “ready for the apocalypse” things with everything from tea bags and a first aid kit to a multi tool and fabric swatches… It sounds trite given the blog, but my Kobo and the ability to charge it are ALWAYS in it. (bring on the apocalypse or deserted island, I have a SOLAR charger and a fully loaded e-reader! :))
