This is sort of embarrassing but the item I always keep in my purse is a plastic horse. Even if I forget my phone, I’ve got the damn horse. Because if we have to wait at the pharmacy or the gas pump or anywhere, that one horse will keep my five year old playing imaginatively for a long time. Other toys, they don’t work so much on her, but this horse is a keeper!
Wallet, tissues, lipgloss, phone and keys are my only must haves. Purse snacks optional!

Wallet, smartphone, keys and earbuds obviously, but on top of these I always have Chapstick with me. Chapstick is a must have for me. Everything else is situational.
I always have my Sea Salt hand cream. The packaging is so cute, it smells amazing, it’s very moisturizing without being greasy, and it is from my ancestral homeland of RI! I also always carry a small tube of sunscreen. Would love to say I’m religious about using it, but that would be a lie.

I never leave home without my Kindle and my knitting. You never know when you might have time to read or knit. They are my 2 favorite tings to do.
This may sound silly, but I always carry a small tape measure in my purse. We are always working on a lot of projects at home and it comes in handy often while out shopping.
Other than wallet, phone and keys? My iPad (with Kindle app) and sunglasses!
