Phone with kindle app: well, of course. Lipstick: raised by a Southern mother. Rosary: raised by a Catholic mother. Pens: you can never have too many!

My purse is always full of random stuff. I never leave without my phone, lip gloss, lip balm, planner, and colored pens. I can’t fit a book in there most days, so I use the kindle and hoopla apps for books.

Some sort of lippie (lip balm or lip stick) and glasses/sunglasses.
Other than the obvious wallet and phone, I keep a small “essentials” zippered pouch for chapstick, tampons (if I don’t need them, someone else will), tweezers (seriously, this is the best multi-tool around), comb, safety pins, etc. I can just throw it in whichever bag I’m using, AND I don’t have to dig around in the bottom for whatever small thing I need. Voila!
Besides my wallet and phone, I always have lip balm and lipstick.
Carmex and earbuds! Now that I can read and take notes on my phone, the load has lightened considerably 😛
Dr Pepper Bonne Bell chapstick. I have one in every bag, and a stock of unopened ones for replacements.
My reading glasses! How am I supposed to bounce between my kindle, paperback and library book without them?
I never leave home without my kindle. Sure, I’m a librarian, so I have thousands of books at my disposal, but I panic if I leave my kindle at home.
Besides the usual girlie things I always throw in my Nook, a snack and ear plugs.
My book, my deodorant, and my iPad. As long as I have something to read and I don’t smell, I call the day a success.
I really never leave home without my kindle. Back in the day, I used to bring a paper back every time I left home but why settle for merely ONE book when you bring 200. And if you have the attention span of rabid canary, like me, it works out well!
Chapstick, mirror, eyedrops, pen
Chapstick, hand lotion, Altoids, and a book on my iPhone…you never know when you are going to get stuck waiting somewhere.

I always have floss. Never know when you will need it!
First thing in is a Moleskine notebook and two pens (one might die!!!). Then, a pouch of emergency toiletries and a pouch with my driver’s license, credit cards, and coffee punch card. Eyeglasses go on my head. Keychain goes in my hand. Almost always have to run back in the house for the cell phone.
Hubby carries a man bag, for his stuff and everything I forgot 😉
My prescription sunglasses, even in the dead of the Pacific Northwest winter. Hope springs eternal, right?

A notebook and pen: write down to do list, amuse toddler in waiting rooms, plot the next great romance novel….
Sunscreen for my face, always, always, always. And now that it’s summer sunscreen for everywhere else.
A pen–the pen is mightier than a sword (and easier to fit into a bag)!
I always have my sunglasses with me–they are prescription, so I can’t just go into the nearest supermarket and replace them.

I’ve always got my phone, Kindle, wallet and chapstick. I also always have my emergency pack filled with painkillers, allergy meds, antacids, band-aids, alcohol wipes, toothpicks, tweezers, mini screwdriver for my glasses, and a couple of pads and tampons. I like to be prepared 🙂
Old school ipod classic and earbuds. I’m in my car/on public transit so much and I always need a soundtrack to my day.
The most important thing in my purse is my wallet.
