Time: 2:00 pm
Location: Argyll Arms, Central London
Tube stop: Oxford Circus
“Find us by brandishing your favorite book or your e-reader!”
We hope some of you can make it!
And if you attend, feel free to take photos and tagΒ us on Instagram or Twitter so we can see your lovely faces!

Yay, I’m so excited! Thank you Amanda and Sarah!
Hopefully some of you will be able to make it. π
Maria.
@M & M: Thank you for coordinating! Wish we could be there!
I’d love to come along. I’ll be waving frantically . . .
@Amanda: we wish you could all be there too!
@ Rachel K: that’s excellent! Look forward to seeing you there. π
I’d love to come along but I can’t do that Saturday due to childcare duties. Please can you arrange another date very soon??
@Farzana: sorry you can’t make it, we will try and organise another meet-up in the near future, if possible. π
Blast! I have a birthday party that weekend. What a great idea. I’d love to hear about British authors.
Please do it again, with a little more notice please. Have a great time, those of you who go.
can’t afford to get into London at that short notice, alas, but for those who can there’s also a march for the NHS in London that saturday, so you could multitask! (and also the tube is likely to be very busy)
@ Hazel: thank you!
@ MinaKelly: thank you for the the heads-up regarding the NHS march. We can all plan our journey accordingly.
We will do our best to try and organise another meet-up.
π
Oh, damn. I cannot afford another trip this soon after getting back from Florida. π Next time!
@Mikaela: ahhh, bad timing! Yep, hopefully next time. π
I’ll be in London at the end of June for ADELE! Be cool if there is one then, I’d totally be there!
I’m so excited! Do we need to RSVP/get in touch, or can we just turn up?
@Alys Murray: Just turn up! We’ll look for you and teach you the secret handshake once you arrive. And you can always post here with any questions. I think both Maria and I are now following the comments.
I’m so looking forward to meeting everyone! For those who can’t make it this time, of course we’ll try to plan another date sooner rather than later.
-Anne
Can’t make it to this one, but definitely interested in future events. Do you have a twitter/FB/blog home that we can keep an eye on to find out when the next one is?
As an aside, the RNA (Romantic Novelists Association) awards are held in London on the 13th of March. LOTS of British romance authors will be in London that day.
@Rhoda Baxter This is all brand new, so we don’t have a site or anything yet. With this much interest, we’ll definitely have to put something together! We can certainly update with another comment here when we do, if all interested parties are subscribing to this thread.
13th March, you say? Hmmmm…. *squeaks of hamster wheel turning*
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has shown an interest. Also, ditto to everything Anne said above.
I’m going to try to be there. I’ve been a lurker on the site for a couple of years now – and am much richer in reading and poorer in money as a result.
@ Vivienne: heh! Aren’t we all?! π
Hope to see you there, fingers crossed!
Another lurker here ….. sadly can’t make this meet up but maybe the next? Please keep us posted x
@Julie: we will keep you all posted. π
I am sooooooo sorry I am not going to be able to make tomorrow. (I’ve just started a new job and have to be in on Saturday pm). But I would love to meet up in future.
@Rachel K: Sorry to hear you can’t make it, but congrats on the new job!
Anne and I are really looking forward to tomorrow. We hope to see a few of you there. In order to make spotting us a bit easier, please look out for the table with the pink, heart-shaped balloon. Very apropos, right?! We will also be carrying around our books/e-readers.
π
I hope you guys have a terrific time!!
Thank you, Sarah. π
So how did it go? Did you guys have a good time? What did you talk about?
Did you go to the NHS rally as well? Killing two birds and all that. π
Feedback please!
@Hazel: it went really well! There were five of us in total, and we had a lot of fun discussing all things romance. I think we spent just over three hours there, we had a lot to talk about lol!
All the ladies I met were really wonderful and lovely! And I can’t wait to meet-up with everyone again. I hope you will be able to join us next time. We are all really friendly, I promise! π
Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the march. I’m not sure if the other ladies did?
Anyhow, we are getting a bit more organised and have created a goodreads group. We will post all future events details there, so please join to get the latest info on our next meet-up.
We will also keep SB Sarah updated too.

Anne was kind enough to make notes, so there is also a list of books we discussed, as well as a post on the some of the topics we discussed. Have a look-see π
Thanks again to SBTB for helping to connect us all. We all love your site!
@Rhoda Baxter: How did the RNA awards go? π
Quick update: we are meeting up again on the 1st of April. Details can be found here:
