2016 Smart Bitches Extrava-Hanukkah Giveaway, Part 8

graphic image of menorah with a book in front. It's probably supposed to be the torah or something but I'm pretending it's a romanceIt’s the eighth and final night of the Extrava-Hanukkah giveaways!

I hope you’ve had as much fun as we have with all the mayhem and merriment. It’s just delightful for me to celebrate all of you and to party for eight straight days.

The eighth night of Hanukkah is pretty special for me, too. We can probably heat the whole house with the warmth from all the candles, and we can definitely make s’mores. It’s bright and warm and beautiful while the  are lit, too.

On to the giveaway! I know you like the handbag giveaways – I try to pick patterns that go with everything and shapes that are both useful but not too overwhelming. And I have one more bag in the strangely-shaped prize closet!

Today’s giveaway is:

Kate Spade Blake Avenue Margareta tote in black with white dots

A Kate Spade Blake Avenue Margareta tote in Diamond Dot!

This bag is 11.3″ high, 15.6″ wide, and 6.2″ deep (27.9cm x 39.5cm x 15.24cm), and the handle drop is nearly 10 inches (25cm). You’ll definitely be able to put it over your shoulder.

It’s an open tote with a recessed zipper closure, and it has two inside slide pockets and a zipper pocket as well. You can carry just about everything you need in this bag.

And, since you’ll need to get some new books and possibly other treats for yourself, we’re adding a $25 gift certificate to Amazon as well! Woo hoo!

Ready to enter? All you need to do is tell us about a book you really want to read next year. Maybe it’s a title or a series you’re anticipating, or maybe it’s a book that hasn’t been written yet but you still want to find it? What book are you looking forward to, real or imagines?

Standard disclaimers apply:  I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Must be 18 years of age. It’s totally okay to mix patterns while carrying this tote. Honestly, wear whatever you want. You’re going to look fabulous either way! Open to international residents where permitted by applicable law. Comments will close at or near 12pm ET on Sunday 1 January 2017 and winners will be announced shortly afterward.

Happy Hanukkah everyone! Thank you for being part of the Smart Bitches community!

  8. The list is long! But if I must choose ONE, it would be the final book of Elizabeth Hoyt’s Maiden Lane series (WHY must it end???), The Duke of Desire.

Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year!

  9. Sally says:

I’m eagerly awaiting White Hot by Ilona Andrews. I understand the reasoning behind relaunching the series from the beginning, but those extra 3 months to wait will be difficult!

  10. Iby says:

    Anything Ilona Andrews!

A new Cecilia Grant book. Whishful thinking?

  20. Wiesteria says:

    White Hot by Ilona Andrews.

  21. Rebekah says:

I’m ready for the sequel to Three Dark Crowns

  22. Tracy W. says:

Co-ed and the Cad by LH Cosway and Penny Reid

  23. Stefanie Magura says:

I am looking forward to the release in audio of the second and third Bronze Horseman books in March. I wanted to read the first one when it came out in audio, since that is still my primary method, but had heard there was quite a cliff hanger. I also hope this year is finally the year I get around to reading the latest couple of Outlander books, and read the Lymond Chronicles past the first book. I haven’t read the seventh and eighth Outlander books yet because I wanted to make sure book eight didn’t have a cliff hanger like book seven apparently does. As far as Ms. Dunnett is concerned, I loved the first book as much as everyone on the internet said I would, but her writing is so dense I haven’t read the others yet. Probably a bit ambitious, but I can always scale back accordingly.

  24. April says:

Another mention for Devil in Spring.

  25. camilla says:

Devil in Spring by Kleypas; Heroine Worship by Sarah Kuhn; Pretty Face, Lucy Parker; Breath of Fire, Bouchet (loved the first one!!), and the new Anne Bishop and Patricia Briggs….!!!

  26. Emily J says:

I’d like to expand my knowledge of the romance genre by reading earlier authors–Georgette Heyer and others.

  27. Jennie says:

The Devil in Spring and the last Maiden Lane book.

  28. Celine M. says:

Just started Anne Bishop’s The Others series over this holiday week – looking forward to reading it all the way through!

  29. Ceri McCandless says:

Looking forward to new books from Eloisa James and Karen Marie Moning.

  30. Melissandre says:

I really need to catch up on Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series. I am a few books behind, but have a copy of Dark Skye ready to be read (hopefully soon)

  31. Jennifer says:

A Destiny of Dragons and The Consumption of Magic! Both sequels to The Lightning Struck Heart by TJ Klune comming out in early spring and late fall respectively. I’ve listened to book one on audio at lest ten times (after reading the book at least three). I love love love the narrator. I constantly forget that it’s one voice because all the voices are so distinct.

PS – thank you for having this contest! When I went to double check the name of book number three, I found that there is going to be at least one more book, possibly two, in the series! And the author has a short story in the series free online that I didn’t know about. I’m off to read the short story and try to figure out estimated dates for the other book(s). Cheers!

  32. Patti (@TheLoveJunkee) says:

Off the top of my head, there are 4 books I’m really excited about in 2017:
    Breath of Fire by Amanda Bouchet;
    A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas;
Kate Daniels #10 by Ilona Andrews; and
    Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs

    Hmmm…they’re all fantasy!

  33. Lisa M says:

I really want to read some mid city sizzled contemporaries. Bigger than quaint small town where everyone knows everyone but now quite huge cities either.

  34. Ashley says:

    Devil in Spring.

  35. Kit says:

Lisa Kleypas’ Devil in Spring! Devil in Winter is my favorite book of all time and to see a glimpse of Sebastian and Evie again will be a treat. I’ve been really happy with Lisa Kleypas’ return to historicals so I am also excited to see what happens to Pandora

  36. Vanessa says:

Devil In Spring by Lisa Kleypas

  37. Leandra says:

Roxanne gay’s new book (Hunger: a memoir) And the things about love- the new book by Julie James!

  38. Sarah says:

I can’t wait for Devil in Spring and I’m so intrigued by the new Mercy Thompson – the cover has me a bit anxious!

  39. JennaO says:

I would love to find a perfect romantic novel to read <3 I really love good romantic books!

  40. Grace says:

Can’t wait for the sequel to Silver On The Road (which I think I found through the revs here). And maybe this is the year that the sequel to Jasper Fforde’s Shades of Grey finally comes out!
