graphic image of menorah with a book in front. It's probably supposed to be the torah or something but I'm pretending it's a romanceIt’s the eighth and final night of the Extrava-Hanukkah giveaways!

I hope you’ve had as much fun as we have with all the mayhem and merriment. It’s just delightful for me to celebrate all of you and to party for eight straight days.

The eighth night of Hanukkah is pretty special for me, too. We can probably heat the whole house with the warmth from all the candles, and we can definitely make s’mores. It’s bright and warm and beautiful while the  are lit, too.

On to the giveaway! I know you like the handbag giveaways – I try to pick patterns that go with everything and shapes that are both useful but not too overwhelming. And I have one more bag in the strangely-shaped prize closet!

Today’s giveaway is:

Kate Spade Blake Avenue Margareta tote in black with white dots

A Kate Spade Blake Avenue Margareta tote in Diamond Dot!

This bag is 11.3″ high, 15.6″ wide, and 6.2″ deep (27.9cm x 39.5cm x 15.24cm), and the handle drop is nearly 10 inches (25cm). You’ll definitely be able to put it over your shoulder.

It’s an open tote with a recessed zipper closure, and it has two inside slide pockets and a zipper pocket as well. You can carry just about everything you need in this bag.

And, since you’ll need to get some new books and possibly other treats for yourself, we’re adding a $25 gift certificate to Amazon as well! Woo hoo!

Ready to enter? All you need to do is tell us about a book you really want to read next year. Maybe it’s a title or a series you’re anticipating, or maybe it’s a book that hasn’t been written yet but you still want to find it? What book are you looking forward to, real or imagines?

Standard disclaimers apply:  I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Must be 18 years of age. It’s totally okay to mix patterns while carrying this tote. Thick and Thin by Charlie Cochet

  2. laurenjean says:

The Devil in Winter is one of my go-to re-reads, so I’m really looking forward to Lisa Kleypas’ The Devil in Spring. Also Sarah Maclean’s Day of the Duchess.

  3. Lauren says:

I have waited about a decade for a new Judith McNaught novel! The name and publication date have changed so many times that I hate to even hope that 2017 will be the year, but I’m crossing my fingers anyway.

On a more realistic note, I must cast my lot with Devil in Spring (Kleypas) and The Thing About Love (Julie James).

  4. Sabrina Cooper says:

Cannot wait for Echoes in Death by J.D. Robb

  5. Hera says:

The new Megan Whalen Turner, and Courtney Milan supposedly has a new contemporary and a new historical, so I’m excited.

  6. Rae Alley says:

As of this morning, Pretty Face by Lucy Parker

  7. TĂĽnde says:

I would like to catch up with Tessa Dare’s books. I know I am late to the party but just started her backlist and at least I will be entertained for a long time 🙂

  8. Cheri says:

I have the first crow book waiting for me only Kindle. A book club I am in is doing “a crocodile in the sand” for their January book. Give me that mystery!

  9. Alissa says:

I’m really looking forward to reading some great Beta Hero books this year. I love a good scoundrel, but I’d like to broaden my horizons! (Recommendations welcome!)

  10. Amy K says:

Julie James’ new book, The Thing About Love, comes out in April. I’ve loved every one of her books. Strong heroines FTW.

  11. Vanessa Davies says:

Well the next book on my list is the subtle art of not giving a fuck haha, but the one I’m looking forward to that’s coming out is the next book in the anne bishop Cassandra Sangue series (I can’t actually remember what the series is called) oh and the next book in Libba Brays Diviner series!

  12. LaurieF says:

I want to read Anne Bishop’s “Etched in Bone” of the “Others” series. I always anticipate the next JD Robb book, this time round it’s “Echoes in Death”. Last but not least is “Silence Fallen” by Patricia Briggs. I love all three of these series. Also looking forward to any books by Singh, Milan, Hoyt, Goodman, Balogh… you get the idea. Overall goal in 2017 is too read more!

  13. Paula Swanton says:

I’m looking forward to reading Kristan Higgins’ On Second Thought

  14. Janet says:

I’m torn between fantasy and contemporary, Karen Marie Moning’s Feversong versus Courtney Milan’s newest. KMM is a long-time auto buy, but I just discovered Milan’s contemporaries and binge read them all in December.

  15. Meg says:

I really want to read a full-blown sexy romance with mature characters. And I’m not talking 30 year olds here. I mean protagonists in their 50s and 60s. Might have to write the damn book myself, bcz I sure can’t find it on the shelves.

  16. Shelley Dodge says:

I so many I want to read next year. White Hot by Ilona Andrews, The Black Wolves of Boston by Wen Spencer, the new Anne Bishop, Seanan McGuires, Patricia Briggs to name just a few.

  17. I hate to admit this, but I’ve never read Jane Austen. So her books are on the top of the “to do”.

  18. Algae says:

Breath of Fire. The first was awesome.

  19. Shaney says:

I am almost finished with Book 4 of Game of Thrones and can’t wait to start and finish Book 5.

  20. Christine H says:

I can’t wait for Besieged, and Scourged by Kevin Hearne. I’ll also be sad after Scourged comes out, because it will be book nine and the last of the Iron Druid series which I love so much!

  21. Moran says:

I can’t wait to read The Thing About Love by Julie James. She is one of my favorite authors and she only write one book a year and in 2016 she didn’t pubish a book.
Happy last day of Hanukkah and Happy New Year.

  22. Karin says:

I’m really anticipating the new Psy/Changeling novel from Nalini Singh, “Psy Silence”.

  23. Brooding Bibliophile says:

I’m looking forward to Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor, Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman, Solutions and Other Problems by Allie Brosh, and I’m always on the lookout for new Regency romance novels with imperfect but good-hearted heroines and heroes whose friendship develops into love/lust before they consensually hop into bed together. (I’m so thankful to this site for introducing me to Courtney Milan’s Brothers Sinister series which I’ve just binge-read over the past 3 days.)

  24. Karin says:

I’m really anticipating the new Psy/Changeling novel from Nalini Singh, “Silver Silence”.

  25. Denice says:

I’ve got a few books already on the list for 2017 – I want to read Postcards from the Edge after realizing how amazing a writer Carrie Fisher was but never got into her works as much as I should. I also am excited for Difficult Women by Roxanne Gay, Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas, the third book in the Broken Earth trilogy by N.K. Jemison (at least, I’m hoping/assuming it’s coming out in 2017). I also have a few books I’m writing myself that I’m hoping I finish and then can sit back and read next december and basically be proud I finally finished them!

  26. AnnConnie says:

I’m excited for a lot of upcoming titles, but I think I’m looking forward to Highland Fling by Anna Larner the most. I believe this is her first book, but I was sold on the description and the cover is cute as heck! Cheers and good wishes to everyone for the new year!

  27. Jessica says:

Excited to read Lisa Kleypas’ Devil in Spring, a huge romantic suspense back list I had no time to read this year, and have a bunch of Tessa Dare on order from the library!

  28. Jill says:

Suzanne Enoch’s The One True Highlander. Kidnapping, a heroine refusing to cower and rather civilize her captives, yes please.

  29. Rebecca says:

I cannot WAIT to read the next Call of Crows book that Shelly Laurenston publishes.
Let rage be your guide, indeed.

  30. Ann Reali says:

I’m looking forward to reading: A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab (Feb.), The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband by Julia Quinn (May), Wendy Darling: Shadow by Colleen Oakes (June. After that, working on my 2017 Reading Challenge!

It’s going to be a great year! Happy New Year to all!

  31. Malin says:

While it makes me sad that the series is ending, I really want to read the final book in the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. I’m also very much looking forward to White Hot and Wildfire, the final two books in their Hidden Legacy trilogy.

In romance, I’m hoping that Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas and Day of the Duchess by Sarah Maclean don’t disappoint. I need both to be really good, because the authors have written so many good books in the past, and their last few books have been a bit underwhelming to me. I need both of them to bring their A-game this time.

  32. Anabel Garcia says:

I’m looking forward to the next Mariana Zapata, Kristen Ashley, and Shelly Laurenston books!

  33. liza says:

I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want, as 2016 draws its final breaths, are those books being written right now (or maybe they’re being edited, or are in some publisher’s pipeline) that give us: MC’s who have an awesome posse of female friends (as quirky and sharp-witted as my own). MC’s who, by the predicaments they’re tossed into and the wit they show, resolve their problems in such a way as to inspire and rally me into action in the real world. I looove losing myself in a book, and I looove leaving the book imagining a little bit of the MC lives in me.

  34. Liv says:

So pumped for PRETTY FACE by Lucy Parker!

  35. Abby Cohen says:

I am looking forward to diving into some graphic novels, specifically the Lumbarjanes series! The artwork brings me joy, which has been in a bit of short supply lately. Happy Hanukkah! Hag Urim Sameach!

  36. LauraL says:

Passion Favors the Bold by Theresa Romain is one I am looking forward to reading in 2017.

  37. marjorie says:

Dunno if you’re reading comments, liza, but Victoria Dahl’s Jackson Girls’ Night Out series features a snappy girl posse.

Other commenters have named a lot of my most-anticipateds, so I will add Jami Attenberg’s new one, Leigh Bardugo’s Wonder Woman coming-of-age novel (!), due in August from Random House, and I’m hoping against hope for another Carolyn Crane Disillusionists novel or novella. i’m also excited for The H Spot: The Feminist Pursuit of Happiness by Jill Filipovic.

  38. Tammy M says:

I am looking forward to all the Marie Force releases this year. I am wrapped up in each of her series and enjoy escaping to each of their worlds.

  39. Harper says:

As well as Devil in Spring, I’m looking forward to reading The Burning Page from Genevieve Cogman!

  40. Molly says:

I’m super excited to finish the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn. I just finished When He Was Wicked.

I read the first book in high school and adored it, but didn’t realize at the time it was part of a series! I’d been thinking of it for years and was able to find it again due to hearing it mentioned on the podcast. Thank you!! 🙂
