It’s the eighth and final night of the Extrava-Hanukkah giveaways!
I hope you’ve had as much fun as we have with all the mayhem and merriment. It’s just delightful for me to celebrate all of you and to party for eight straight days.
The eighth night of Hanukkah is pretty special for me, too. We can probably heat the whole house with the warmth from all the candles, and we can definitely make s’mores. It’s bright and warm and beautiful while the are lit, too.
On to the giveaway! I know you like the handbag giveaways – I try to pick patterns that go with everything and shapes that are both useful but not too overwhelming. And I have one more bag in the strangely-shaped prize closet!
Today’s giveaway is:

A Kate Spade Blake Avenue Margareta tote in Diamond Dot!
This bag is 11.3″ high, 15.6″ wide, and 6.2″ deep (27.9cm x 39.5cm x 15.24cm), and the handle drop is nearly 10 inches (25cm). You’ll definitely be able to put it over your shoulder.
It’s an open tote with a recessed zipper closure, and it has two inside slide pockets and a zipper pocket as well. You can carry just about everything you need in this bag.
And, since you’ll need to get some new books and possibly other treats for yourself, we’re adding a $25 gift certificate to Amazon as well! Woo hoo!
Ready to enter? All you need to do is tell us about a book you really want to read next year. Maybe it’s a title or a series you’re anticipating, or maybe it’s a book that hasn’t been written yet but you still want to find it? What book are you looking forward to, real or imagines?
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Must be 18 years of age. It’s totally okay to mix patterns while carrying this tote. Honestly, wear whatever you want. You’re going to look fabulous either way! Open to international residents where permitted by applicable law. Comments will close at or near 12pm ET on Sunday 1 January 2017 and winners will be announced shortly afterward.
Happy Hanukkah everyone! Thank you for being part of the Smart Bitches community!

C.D. Reiss’ “Separation Games”
EVERYTHING Sarina Bowen is releasing next year which is a lot! Particularly anything m/m!
A tie between Lisa Kleypas Devil in Spring and Nalini Singh’ s Silver Silence!
I m looking forward to whatever new m/m books I will find, and hoping there will be a new Rainbow Rowell book coming out soon.
I can’t wait to read The Unyielding, Shelly Laurenstons’ third book in the crows series.
So many books, so little time. I rounded out my 2016 reading challenge at 200. Met very early this morning. The next one I’m really looking forward to is Anne Bishop’s ETCHED IN BONE, the next installment in her The Others series. I’ve already preordered it in all three formates–hardcover (for the library keeper shelves), digital for easy reading, and audio because if I’m busy and can’t finish the book once I start, then I can listen from where I had to leave off. Also, a couple of Ilona Andrews books, Nalini Singh, and the next two In Death books by JD Robb. Plus, hitting some of the books on my TBR mountain. My reading resolution is to read at least 1 old book on the stack for each new book I buy.
I am desperately hoping that 2017 is the year we see the story of Meljean Brook’s Blacksmith (from her Iron Seas series) is published.
I want to read Silence Fallen. I want March to be here so bad!
Sometimes, I enjoy the wait for a book and purposely wait to read it. I like the possibilities that are in an unread book. I’ve been waiting to read “Stiletto” by Daniel O’Malley. I’ve also got some of Tessa Dare’s older books in my queue.
I’m also looking forward to the new Ilona Andrews book!
Two series I really want to check out are The Magicians by Lev Grossman and the novels that are the basis for The Expanse by James S.A. Corey.
“White Hot” by Ilona Andrews (an auto-buy author for me). Also, “The Cold Eye” by Laura Anne Gilman; I really enjoyed “Silver on the Road” and can’t wait to see where the story goes next.
Deanna Raybourn’s latest A Perilous Undertaking. Love a good Holmes homage.
Pretty much everyone in my circle of family and friends have been at me to read some Ken Follett, so I picked up Pillars of the Earth with my Christmas gift card. I’m really looking forward to that one.
Like others, I’m looking forward to Shelly Laurenston’s third book in her Call of Crows series.
Well, after reading through comments, I just pre ordered Devil in Spring. So next up is a re-read of the first 2 in the series.
The last Vlad book by Jeaniene Frost.
I am insanely jealous of my blog partner who snagged an ARC of Rock Chick Reawakening. It’s releasing in two days but I have zero patience to start with and this is Daisy’s book. I also am looking forward to Cat Porters upcoming book about Finger. She keeps posting teasers and it’s killing me! I’m currently rereading Amelia Hutchins Fae Chronicles and I know when I’m done, I’ll want more from that world. I know 2017 is going to be awesome!
Tapping my foot and drumming my fingers for Wait For It from Molly O’Keefe in February. Irony, it is my life.
Recently I started to read Courtney Milan and fell in love. Looking forward to reading all her books.
I have a nice list of books I’m looking forward to! It’s hard to decide, sometimes, which one I’m looking forward to the most! But I think I’ll go with Anne Bishop’s _Marked in Flesh_.
Looking forward to Sarah MacLean’s next book. I would really like to have the next Outlander as well. But that doesn’t seem likely.
Ugh, disregard the previous post, I’m hot for Anne’s next book, yes, but I mixed up the names, the one I’m waiting so eagerly for is _Etched in Bone) (Hope this little blooper doesn’t cause a problem for you, SBSarah, if you can delete the post with the wrong title in it, by all means do so!)
So many to look forward to: The Unyielding, Shelly Laurenston; Etched in Bone, Anne Bishop; Echoes in Death, JD Robb; On Second Thought, Kristan Higgins; The Hunt, Chloe Neill. And so many more!
Finally reading “A Promise of Fire”!
DEVIL IN SPRING BY LISA KLEYPAS.
BEST. BOOK. EVER.
(yes, this book totally deserves all the caps and no, I haven’t read it but I have a feeling it’ll be just wonderful)
The new Tessa Dare!
I’m really looking forward to A Conjuring of Light be VE Schwab
The next Nalini Singh Psy- changeling novel
I’m really hoping that Damon Suede finally finishes and releases HARD HEAD…
White Hot and Wildire
Etched in Bone [I wonder what the author will do next. There was a character in House of Gaian, who was left I wouldn’t exactly say hanging, but…]
War by Michelle Sagara writing as Michelle West, if it gets finished with the production and distribution cycle allowing it come out in 2017 (it’s volume six of her House War fantasy series, which set of books, started off as a -chapter- that grew too much to stay as part of The Sun Sword, sixth and concluding book in the Sun Sword series (as it was, that book as a 950 page paperback! The first arc/series in the much larger landscape universe series is a mere two books, the duology of Hunter’s Oath and Hunter’s Death, recently packaged up into a single trade paper volume by the publisher).
I expectt that there will be another Elantra series volume by Michelle Sagara in 2017 (they all start off with the word “Cast”
In Evil Times by Melinda Snodgrass
The Gathering Edge by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller
Lisa Kleypas can take all my money. Can’t wait for Devil in Spring this year!
I’m looking forward to Sophie Jordan’s next Devil’s Rock book!
Anything by Lisa Kleypas!
I have already pre-bought the next book in Megan Whalen Turner’s Queen’s Thief series. They are frequent re-reads on my Kindle and when I saw there was going to be a new one, I almost fell off the couch while celebrating!
11th Grave In Moonlight by Darynda Jones
From my old school favorites, Lisa Kleypas’s Devil in Spring. From my new favorites anything by Nalini Singh. And now after reading everyone elses must read an Ilona Andrews
book! Anyone have a recommendation on which book to start with Ilona Andrews?
I just discovered Alyssa Cole and Courtney Milan this year (I know, I know) and I’m really looking forward to catching up with them!
Sherry Thomas’ Lady Sherlock book(s)! I have many hundreds of books (shh!) in my e-library that are waiting to be read, so I promised myself that I will not get this book (and any sequels coming) until I have gone through my library—not to force myself to read things I acquired and no longer care about, but at least to organize these. Looking through my library the last few days, I realize I had books I had totally forgotten about, and want to read. So maybe put my current books in a semblance of order before jumping into something I know I will totally love (incentive to organize!), since I have yet to come across a Sherry Thomas work that I didn’t love!
All the books!
But if I have to choose just one, White Hot by Ilona Andrews.
