2016 Smart Bitches Extrava-Hanukkah Giveaway, Part 8

graphic image of menorah with a book in front. It's probably supposed to be the torah or something but I'm pretending it's a romanceIt’s the eighth and final night of the Extrava-Hanukkah giveaways!

I hope you’ve had as much fun as we have with all the mayhem and merriment. It’s just delightful for me to celebrate all of you and to party for eight straight days.

The eighth night of Hanukkah is pretty special for me, too. We can probably heat the whole house with the warmth from all the candles, and we can definitely make s’mores. It’s bright and warm and beautiful while the  are lit, too.

On to the giveaway! I know you like the handbag giveaways – I try to pick patterns that go with everything and shapes that are both useful but not too overwhelming. And I have one more bag in the strangely-shaped prize closet!

Today’s giveaway is:

Kate Spade Blake Avenue Margareta tote in black with white dots

A Kate Spade Blake Avenue Margareta tote in Diamond Dot!

This bag is 11.3″ high, 15.6″ wide, and 6.2″ deep (27.9cm x 39.5cm x 15.24cm), and the handle drop is nearly 10 inches (25cm). You’ll definitely be able to put it over your shoulder.

It’s an open tote with a recessed zipper closure, and it has two inside slide pockets and a zipper pocket as well. You can carry just about everything you need in this bag.

And, since you’ll need to get some new books and possibly other treats for yourself, we’re adding a $25 gift certificate to Amazon as well! Woo hoo!

Ready to enter? All you need to do is tell us about a book you really want to read next year. Maybe it’s a title or a series you’re anticipating, or maybe it’s a book that hasn’t been written yet but you still want to find it? What book are you looking forward to, real or imagines?

Standard disclaimers apply:  I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Must be 18 years of age. It’s totally okay to mix patterns while carrying this tote. Honestly, wear whatever you want. You’re going to look fabulous either way! Open to international residents where permitted by applicable law. Comments will close at or near 12pm ET on Sunday 1 January 2017 and winners will be announced shortly afterward.

Happy Hanukkah everyone! Thank you for being part of the Smart Bitches community!

Oh golly, where do I begin? I’m curious to know what direction Nalini Singh’s going to take the Psy/Changelings in next. I’m looking forward to the next book in Anne Bishop’s Others series. I always look forward to what’s going on in J.D. Robb’s “In Death” series, even after all these years. Julie James’ new book, because it seems like it’s been a thousand years since the last one. There are soooo many others, but I’ll stop with those.

  25. cayenne says:

My list of must-reads for 2017 is as long as my leg (arm is too short), but the first ones up in January are Laura Florand’s “A Crown of Bitter Orange” and Chanel Cleeton’s “On Broken Wings”. Looks like it’ll be a great year for romance book lovers!!

To Sarah & SB team: thank you for all the giveaways, and for all you’ve done this year. Happy New Year, Bitchery!

  26. I am DETERMINED to finally read N. K. Jemisin’s The Fifth Season.

I’m also looking forward to the second trade of Marjorie Liu and Sana Takeda’s Monstress, which remains tragically far away.

  27. PSJ says:

The next book in Amanda Bouchet’s fire series — Amazon tells me it will arrive on my Kindle on Tuesday — the last 3 books in the October Daye series (I’m trying not to read them all too fast), Rise of the Rocket Girls, and (for political hope) The Impossible Will Take A Little While.

  28. Nerdalisque says:

I’d like to read The Winds of Winter, but I don’t think George R.R. Martin is on board with that.

  29. Vicki says:

Two books, actually – The next Courtney Milan in her cyclone series. I am becoming interested in Adam and I love Tina’s mother. And the next book in Ann Bishop’s Others series.

  30. Laura says:

The next Sebastian St. Cyr Mystery Where the Dead Lie, by C.S. Harris

  31. Alicia says:

I am most excited to read the new Elizabeth Wein book, The Pearl Thief.

  32. kitkat9000 says:

Ilona Andrews & Shelly Laurenston for my personal wins. Team Andrews has the entire 3 book Hidden Legacy series releasing this spring/summer, a new (but last) Kate Daniels this fall AND they’re continuing their Innkeeper series ALL IN 2017! Also, Ilona said something about a Hugh D’Ambray book which, if it’s going to be written [and she’s posted snippets!], has to release before the Kate book. ALL IN 2017!! Be still my heart.

Then there’s Shelly Laurenston- she has a new Crow book in March and should have a new Dragon Kin in the fall.

But, did you see where Ilona Andrews has 4, possibly 5, books AND a serial releasing in 2017? Can you tell I’m excited? Really, really excited.

  33. Kim says:

I’m on the waiting list at my library for Do You Want to Start a Scandal

  34. Megan S. says:

I’m counting down to the release of Beverly Jenkins’s Breathless. January 31!

Happy Hanukkah! Thank you for all these giveaways!

  35. Erika says:

The book I’m really looking forward to in 2017 is ‘Thick as Thieves’ by Megan Whalen Turner. It’s in her Queen’s Thief series. She writes very slowly (her last book came out in…2010, I think?) so any book by her is a treat!

  36. S.Rose says:

I just finished Moonshadow by Thea Harrison and I’m excited for Spellbound in summer 2017.

  37. Mary says:

Really looking forward to Ilona Andrews’ 2017 releases, as well as the final Lady Trent memoir by Marie Brennan!

  38. Lynnd says:

I am really looking forward to Joanna Bourne’s next book (Sevie’s story).

  39. suzy says:

I’m looking forward to reading Because of Miss Bridgerton. I’ve got it, but haven’t had the time to read it yet.

  40. Meg says:

Hmmm… well, the stuff I’m looking forward to is non-romance, but my plan is to re-read the Handmaids Tale. I know that may be masochism.
