It’s the eighth and final night of the Extrava-Hanukkah giveaways!
I hope you’ve had as much fun as we have with all the mayhem and merriment. It’s just delightful for me to celebrate all of you and to party for eight straight days.
The eighth night of Hanukkah is pretty special for me, too. We can probably heat the whole house with the warmth from all the candles, and we can definitely make s’mores. It’s bright and warm and beautiful while the are lit, too.
On to the giveaway! I know you like the handbag giveaways – I try to pick patterns that go with everything and shapes that are both useful but not too overwhelming. And I have one more bag in the strangely-shaped prize closet!
Today’s giveaway is:

A Kate Spade Blake Avenue Margareta tote in Diamond Dot!
This bag is 11.3″ high, 15.6″ wide, and 6.2″ deep (27.9cm x 39.5cm x 15.24cm), and the handle drop is nearly 10 inches (25cm). You’ll definitely be able to put it over your shoulder.
It’s an open tote with a recessed zipper closure, and it has two inside slide pockets and a zipper pocket as well. You can carry just about everything you need in this bag.
And, since you’ll need to get some new books and possibly other treats for yourself, we’re adding a $25 gift certificate to Amazon as well! Woo hoo!
Ready to enter? All you need to do is tell us about a book you really want to read next year. Maybe it’s a title or a series you’re anticipating, or maybe it’s a book that hasn’t been written yet but you still want to find it? What book are you looking forward to, real or imagines?
Standard disclaimers apply: I’m not being compensated for this giveaway. Void where prohibited. Must be 18 years of age. It’s totally okay to mix patterns while carrying this tote. Honestly, wear whatever you want. You’re going to look fabulous either way! Open to international residents where permitted by applicable law. Comments will close at or near 12pm ET on Sunday 1 January 2017 and winners will be announced shortly afterward.
Happy Hanukkah everyone! Thank you for being part of the Smart Bitches community!
Update: Our final winner of our Extrava-Hanukkah giveaway is Jill L.! Big thank you to all the comments and to every one of you who make the community so awesome! Here’s to great things in 2017!

Everything that Ilona Andrews has coming out. The next Kate Daniels book, White Hot, and the next Innkeeper (hopefully). There are many others, but those are at the top of my list.
I’m so really looking forward to Lisa Kleypas’ Devil In Spring. Realy excited about this one!
I am really looking forward to Duke of Desire, the final book in the Maiden Lane series by Elizabeth Hoyt. She Is also starting a new series and I’m completely on board, even though I don’t know what it’s about or when the first book will be out.
Like many others, I’m also looking forward to Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas. I, too am a bit nervous, as Devil in Winter is one of my favourite books and I hope Devil in Spring will be just as enjoyable. Fingers crossed!
Also, Duke of Sin by Elizabeth Hoyt (book 10 in the maiden lane series) reminded me just how much I enjoy a good anti-hero. I am hoping to read more well written anti-heroes in 2017. 🙂
Since my book club is starting off the year with Persuasion, I’m looking forward to reading more of Jane Austen in 2017.
Srsly, too many to count! There are those that will be released but I will wait for pb, so not counting those
I will go with Oatbringer by Brandon Sanderson. it has been SO long
I can’t wait for the next Kresley Cole book!!
As I read through the comments, I realized how many books I am looking forward to- I could have said me too for almost all of them. But the one that came to my mind is the new Mercy Thompson book by Patricia Briggs. I saw her read a section from it and ever since I’ve been anxious to read it.
Silver Silence by Nalini Singh
I am looking forward to the new Julie James in April. I’m also waiting for the surprise read I never saw coming – the one everyone raves about and I finally read and love. Those are always so fun!
Mrs Sherlock Holmes by Brad Ricca
The two that come to mind first for me are Nalini Singh’s Silver Silence and Anne Bishop’s a Etched in Bone.
Thanks for the chance to win and the happy craziness that is the Bitchery. Happy New Year all!
The Stone Sky, by N.K. Jemisin. The Fifth Season and The Obelisk Gate were the best books I read this year and I really want to know how the story ends.
The new Julie James and the next Deanna Raybourn.
I want to read a book about how to machine sew for beginner quilters in detail. All the books I’ve seen aren’t detailed enough for me. I hope that someone writes a more detailed book.
I always look forward to the next JD Robb Eve Dallas book. This is maybe the one long-term series that has the characters develop over the years (I’m looking at you, Stephanie Plum!).
Good Boy by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy (and hopefully some more Ivy Years from Bowen!), Devil in Spring, and the next Julie James because it seems like forever since the last one!
Add me to the list of people who can’t wait for the Ilona Andrews releases; both White Hot and the next Kate Daniels!
I have preordered the next Sebastian St. Cyr novel by C. S. Harris and Anne Bishop’s Etched in Bone. Love both series.
Becky Chambers’ A Closed and Common Orbit, the second in her Wayfarers series. Lots of Good Book Noise from me for this space opera. And thank you, this is always such fun.
I got the last couple of the Outlander series for Christmas. I’m looking forward to diving into them soon!
I am so excited for Deanna Raybourn’s A Perilous Undertaking. Also looking forward to Renee Ahdieah’s Flame in the Mist which is a retelling of Mulan coming in May.
White Hot!! I loved Burn for Me so much I even made my husband read it. And if new Courtney Milan books in either the Worth or Cyclone series come out that would be nice too.
I’m looking forward to Etched in Bone and Devil in Spring.
I am SO excited for the second Veronica Speedwell mystery by Deanna Raybourn!
I am another one excited for Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas.
Either Devil in Spring, or the new Sally Thorne listed on Goodreads, The Comfort Zone.
I’m looking forward to Lucy Parker’s new book in February!
I have several books I can’t wait for. The new Patricia Briggs book, the new Anne Bishop book, the new Seanan McGuire books, etc. Always nice to have things to look forward to.
Megan Whalen Turner’s newest addition to the Queen’s Thief series is going to come out in May. I have been waiting years for this book. I already have it pre-ordered in e-book and hardback!
Six of crows by Leigh Bardugo. Starting it tomorrow. Happy Hanukkah!
There are so many!!! In addition to the Ilona Andrews and Nalini Singh books alreafy mentioned, I can’t wait to read Breath of Fire by Amanda Bouchet, Between the Devil and the Duke by Kelly Bowen, the Royally series by Emma Chase, the WAGS series by Sarina Bowen/Elle Kennedy and anything by Kristen Callihan. Thanks for the giveaway and Happy New Year!
Breath of Fire by Amanda Bouchet is out in 4 days and I cannot wait! Then White Hot and Wildfire by Ilona Andrews and of course the final (sobs) Kate Daniels book.
My library hold on Duke of Sin is almost here! It’s not the only book I’m looking forward to, but it might be the first.
I am really looking forward to the new Julie James book. Thanks for the giveaways, and all you do Bitches!
I’ve just come out of a reading slump, so I’m looking forward to finally making my way through my TBR backlog.
I really want to read the books in my TBR pile (aka kindle), before buying more. I have Roman Crazy and all the Winston brother books (& more books, of course!), and it’s high-time I read them!
The new Eloisa James book
Really, really waiting for Ilona Andrews’ White Hot. I LOVED the first book in this trilogy and can’t wait for the next one to come out. Hurry up May!
I’ve been looking forward to reading THE PRINCESS DIARIST but after Carrie Fisher’s passing, I really want to read it soon. I miss her “voice” already.
I’m looking forward to Royally Matched by Emma Chase and Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo.
