Update: The winner is Sue Rice, who learned some pretty powerful things this year.
Here’s to more learning and growing in 2017!

I learned that listening to podcasts is a great thing to do while working. And sbtb podcast is great….
I learned how to enjoy the life I have. I’m on vacation in a sunny place with no obligations, but I’m missing my job and my home and even the 20 degree weather a bit. I really like my life just as it is.
I learned it’s ok to say no to requests.
Brioche Stitch increases and decreases.
Unfortunately, I learned that I’m not a very god manager. At least it gives me something to work on for the future?
Unfortunately, I learned that I’m not a very good manager. At least it gives me something to work on for the future?
I learned that if something is making you stressed (relationships, job, TBR pile) or just generally making you feel bad it is always OK to step back and decide if you want to cut it out of your life.
The bitchery has inspired me to start knitting, and I’m working on my very first scarf! It’s slow going, but I’m enjoying it – and I must admit that I’m very excited to be able to knit my very own fingerless gloves, and a cowl!
I too learned this year that we will do as much as we can to care for someone we love who is dying. And reading SBTBS and romance helped distract me sometimes.
I learned what it’s like to be pregnant! (It sucks, honestly, but I’m still really glad that’s something I got to discover this year. Definitely one of the best things to happen.)
I learned that after a long and difficult journey my bestie is pregnant!
I learned how to let things go.
This year I learned it’s okay to do something a little crazy, and to take advantage of that opportunity while you still can
This year I learned that my reading time was enriched even more by starting to follow an online book club. It just formed a few months ago, and I’ve really enjoyed following along with these great women! Happy New Year everyone!
I learned throwing $ at my guilt for not exercising (gym membership) didn’t do a thing but make more guilt at not going. 2017 will see me determined to taking advantage of free opportunities to get off my butt (town recreation dept, dusting off the Wii, tackling some of those home improvement projects). Fingers crossed! Eyes on the prize!
I learned about bullet journaling.
I learned that letting people go doesn’t mean good-bye.
This year I learned that love and care can be found in the unlikeliest of places. Strangers and grocery attendants can show you care. If you look for the good, the world seems less cruel and harsh.
I re-learning garment sewing. I use to be pretty good at it and then switched to quilting for about 15 years. I made a shirt and it looks like a shirt. I am planning on making a garment each month for 2017.
This year I learned how to better manage the amount of negativity I let into my life. I still need ALOT of practice, but at least I don’t feel too badly (guilty!) when I mute/block certain contacts from my life.
I have witnessed how amazing and generous the book community is. They are the best!!
Rediscovered Cynthia Eden’s romantic suspense books. I’ll be honest, after the election I binged on her books for two weeks straight. It was the only thing I could do to cope. I’ve been on a romantic suspense kick ever since.
Thanks for the giveaway.
Happy Hanukkah.
I think I learned to handle people better. For my peace of mind, I’ve had to learn to focus on only the things that are truly important to me, and let go of the noise.
I learned how change a diaper thanks to my new niece.
