graphic image of menorah with a book in front. It's probably supposed to be the torah or something but I'm pretending it's a romanceThis is so! Much! Fun!

Ahem. Lemme put down this latke (curried sweet potato – YUM) and set up a giveaway, since it’s the middle of Hanukkah and we’ve got candles, latkes, chocolate to spare!

Time for the fourth night of our annual eight straight days of giveaways to celebrate Hanukkah!

Today?

A Kate Spade tote big enough to hold everything you need for an excellent reading day in any season, any weather!

Kate Spade Grant Street in jules pattern - beige and black stripes

The Kate Spade Grant Street in Jules is a large striped tote bag. It’s about 15.6″ long, 11.3″ high, and 6.2″ wide (~39cm x 28cm x 15cm), and has a handle drop of about 9.1″ – so you can put this over your shoulder, no problem. It has a recessed top zipper that goes the length of the bag, so your necessities stay inside.

The Jules pattern is cream and black stripes, so this bag will go with everything.

And you might need to put some books in it, so we’re adding a $25 gift card to Amazon!

You should be able to fit most of the books you buy in the bag, too. WOO!

Plus, we have some creative ideas, too!

Included with the bag we have:

  1. Wendy says:

The Grand Sophy, by Georgette Heyer. And I don’t know why, because I pretty much have the book memorized.

  2. Patricia M says:

Now that I have the kindle app, there are so many but Lord of Scoundrels is the top of the list.

  3. Abbey (aelily) says:

My collection of Crusie for contemporaries, and Sarah MacLean’s Rule of Scoundrels series. Added to the list this year have been all of G.A. Aikens’s Dragon Kin books. I love this fierce, crazy females and the men who love them just the way they are.

  4. Meg says:

Something light and easy to read (often romance) so I can switch from my nonfiction.

  5. Alicia says:

I have to have 2: a ya and a romance.

  6. Glenda says:

I rely on eBooks way too much – I am doomed if I can’t find a solar charger after the apocalypse. I am never without my phone (kindle app) and often my tablet with both kindle and nook apps.

  7. Jill-Marie says:

Uh … my Kindle counts as a book, right? I mean, it has so many inside! SO.VERY.MANY.

But if I can have but one — GAH!! — it would be the wondrous “The Dressage Chronicles” … or maybe “Lord of Scoundrels” … or … wait … “Hot Target” … no! … “Natural Born Charmer.” Definitely that one. Except ….

  8. Juliana says:

I of course always have my current romance read on the kindle app on my phone but I also always have my Harry Potter eBooks too. Sometimes in the grind of the day the boy wizard is the only cure.

  9. Rae Alley says:

Three Sisters Island trilogy by Nora Roberts.

  10. Darcy says:

I always like to have a copy of “Jellicoe Road” by Melina Marchetta and “Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Bronte. Both have such strong female leads who choose their own romance…I find them very inspiring.

  11. Lynn says:

84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff. Books, friendship and sarcasm! What more could one want from a book? Well, romance, which is why I usually come armed with a vintage Nora Roberts book as well.

  12. Lisa Boike says:

    Pride and Prejudice

  13. ellenm says:

hope it’s not too late!! i actually like to have poetry with me at all times on my kindle–been very into edna st vincent millay lately!!

  14. Kareni says:

I like to keep a lot of books next to me (by my bed) since different moods call for different books. I have books by Thea Harrison there as well as those by Patricia Briggs, Julie James, Lauren Dane, Lisa Kleypas. Should I go on?! Happy Hanukkah!

  15. Bea says:

A Lisa Kleypas book bundle. The Wallflowers and The Hathaways.

  16. Teresa C says:

Right now, Beneath the Stain by Amy Lane speaks to me.

  17. Valerie says:

Another Kindle lover here, glad to have the Brontë sisters, Oscar Wilde, Outlander and Rebecca all in one place.

  18. Wiesteria says:

Devil in Winter. It just has everything I love in a romance.

  19. Lauren says:

That’s what my kindle is for–never having to only choose one book to carry with me! But I always go back to Lisa Kleypas and Patricia Briggs.

  20. VerityW says:

One (or more) of the Peter Wimsey books that has Harriet Vane in it – especially Busman’s Honeymoon, whichis possibly the most romantic detective story about that’s not an actual romance. I have them all as audiobooks on my phone and on my iPad, then I have ebook copies on my kindle. And actual copies at home. I know. I can’t help it.

    “Placetne Magistra? Placet.” *swoons*

  21. Betsydub says:

I have books everywhere in my house, & hundreds on my Nook, so I decided to see what was duplicated both in paper and digitally. So: “Married By Morning” and “Love In the Afternoon” (the last two “Hathaways” books) by Lisa Kleypas, and “A Week to Be Wicked” by Tessa Dare. All I have to do is read the last page of “AWTBW” (BUT only because I’ve read the book so many times). It always makes me flip, testy-eyed, to the front of the book, where Tessa’s dedication grabs me again and sucks me all the way in: “For all the girls who walk and read at the same time”.

One other duplication: “The Faith Club: A Muslim, A Christian and A Jew – Three Women Search For Understanding”. This grew out of the aftermath of 9/11. I have a feeling I’ll be turning to this book again very soon in response to things coming out of the White House and Congress. If only those people would take the time to read this book…

  22. Betsydub says:

Re: AWTBW comment above – teary-eyed (not testy-eyed)!

  23. Julie says:

Frederica by Georgette Heyer always puts me in a good mood.

  24. Aliyah says:

Well, the book I tend to travel with in hard copy is Nora Robert’s Honest Illusion. It helps to remind me that I can fix any problem.

  25. Ellie says:

    My kindle. All the time.

  26. Natasha says:

Don’t have a specific book. But I always make sure I have books to read on my phone when I leave the house. You never know when you can sneak in some reading time!

  27. Gail says:

I keep my Kindle around, which means I have Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie (among other options).

  28. Cat G says:

Thanks to the kindle app I have all the books with me at all times! But if I had to pick one it would prolly be the Ilona Andrews one where Kate and Curran finally get together. Book 3 I think?

  29. Monica says:

I like to have my Kindle with me, which contains a lot of my books.

  30. Kay Gragg says:

I always have the Outlander series with me! Anything by Paula Quinn!

  31. Kay Gragg says:

I always have the Outlander series with me! Anything by Paula Quinn!

  32. genie says:

It’s nice to see I’m not the only one who can’t pick just one. Right now, that book may be Soulless by Gail Carriger – it’s funny, it’s witty, it’s romantic, it has Ivy’s hats.

  33. Amber says:

I like to have any book by Eloisa James, Courtney Milan, or Tessa Dare available at any time.

  34. Amanda says:

    Romance, of course ❤

  35. Valeria says:

I have my kindle with me all times so I can have all of my favourite books always by my side. I do have a LOT of favourite books

  36. Lozza says:

I used to keep a copy of Pride and Prejudice in my glove compartment so that if I ever ended up somewhere where I had to wait with nothing to do, I had a book backup. (That was before smartphones and ereaders!)

  37. To pick just one book with me? You ask the impossible, Woman! So, this week, I’ve read some JR Ward, Darynda Jones and and will be hanging at the dentist with Ilona Andrews. I also recently had a lovely time with Tessa Dare. I’d love to Start a Scandal with one of her dukes.

  38. Shawnie says:

I’m currently on #9 of the In Death series. I will keep that one with me at all times until I finish and switch it out with #10. This series is so long, and I’m only on 9! So I keep the current one on me and the next one handy. 🙂

  39. AndreaT says:

My ultimate comfort book is Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon. After all the turmoil of the first three books in the series, it’s so nice to burrow into the mountains with Jamie and Claire.

Great bag and Giveaway —thank you!

  40. Jean Jambas says:

I have books scattered all over the house and generally have 2-4 going at any given time. Just got a Kindle for Christmas so my on the go reading is going to be a lot easier because I am not a fan of reading on my phone.
