graphic image of menorah with a book in front. It's probably supposed to be the torah or something but I'm pretending it's a romanceThis is so! Much! Fun!

Ahem. Lemme put down this latke (curried sweet potato – YUM) and set up a giveaway, since it’s the middle of Hanukkah and we’ve got candles, latkes, chocolate to spare!

Time for the fourth night of our annual eight straight days of giveaways to celebrate Hanukkah!

Today?

A Kate Spade tote big enough to hold everything you need for an excellent reading day in any season, any weather!

Kate Spade Grant Street in jules pattern - beige and black stripes

The Kate Spade Grant Street in Jules is a large striped tote bag. It’s about 15.6″ long, 11.3″ high, and 6.2″ wide (~39cm x 28cm x 15cm), and has a handle drop of about 9.1″ – so you can put this over your shoulder, no problem. It has a recessed top zipper that goes the length of the bag, so your necessities stay inside.

The Jules pattern is cream and black stripes, so this bag will go with everything.

And you might need to put some books in it, so we’re adding a $25 gift card to Amazon!

You should be able to fit most of the books you buy in the bag, too. WOO!

Plus, we have some creative ideas, too!

Included with the bag we have:

Picture of bag with coloring book, bookmarks, and notebook

  2. Laurie says:

I always have my iPad with me. Always. When I broke it, I cried and then my DH promptly replaced it because he can’t handle it when I “leak”. I make sure that all my Kristen Ashley books are downloaded for when I need my alpha book boyfriend/quirky heroine fix, along with Amelia Hutchins because no character is more alpha than Ryder.

  3. camilla says:

Always a Jo Beverley for comfort, a new scifi for escape…and my ever growing, never diminishing TBR “stack” on the Kindle!

  4. fairywine says:

Anything by Bill Bryson, but especially In A Sunburned Country. And of course Pride and Prejudice.

  5. Tara says:

Loving my Kindle. I get to have all sorts of books with me. I am currently on a nonfiction kick. Current title in my queue is Truevine. (Very good.)

  6. KayKay says:

The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins. Always In my bag and on my Kindle just in case.

  7. Gigi says:

Whatever I’m reading at the time. I tend to carry around a paperback in addition to my Kindle just in case of a book emergency. One must always be prepared. I don’t carry it around all the time but if I had to pick one it would probably be Devil in Winter. No, Dreaming of You. Or Heart of Obsidian or Lord of Scoundrels. Ugh, I don’t like this question!

  8. Sharon says:

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. It’s fascinating!

Any book by either Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb or Nalini Singh would be my choice. It really does’t matter which one. I love ’em all!

Welcome to Temptation, by Jenny Crusie. My gateway drug into romance and the book I’ve probably bought the most copies of over the years.

  17. Patricia says:

Fortunately I have an ipad now so I always carry thousands of books, BUT prior to my electronic awakening I would always have several books with me a couple contemporaries (Krentz, Crusie), and some historicals (Quick, James, Kleypas, Chase). So I could go with my mood at any given time.

A Wrinkle in Time, The Hobbit or pretty much any Julie Garwood historical.

  25. Tam B. says:

I need to have reading material to hand at all times. I used to always carry a couple paperbacks, but now I just try to keep a few new things on my phone. I read nearly anything so I’m not fussed about what. In fact, a cereal box or shampoo bottle will do in a pinch.
The book that makes me happy just to see it, the one that lives by the bed more often than not is a beat up old poetry anthology that had been my dad’s.

  33. Monkey Pantsuit says:

No particular book, but I have to have my kobo with all the books near me at all times. In fact, my husband drove an hour drive back to my dads house after our Christmas with him because I left my kobo there. It was very terrible driving weather, but he knew I couldn’t survive until the next day without it. I was rereading Kate Daniels… I know I should’ve stopped him.

I don’t have a particular book nearby, but, with my phone, my iPad, and various library books, I always have abook nearby.
