  1. Heather says:

Currently enjoying some iced sugar cookies while I curl up with a book. Seasonal sugar coma, here I come!

  2. mel burns says:

    Homemade granola bars!

  3. Gloriamarie says:

Nutmeg Bread which I bake, using an entire freshly grated nutmeg.

Be happy to supply the recipe as a Happy Holidays gift if requested.

  4. Shannon says:

Pumpkin butter bars from a William-Sonoma recipe I got years ago! They’re magical!

  5. Sue says:

Snowball cookies, which I grew up calling Mexican wedding cookies. Whatever we’re calling them, they are always delicious.

  6. Hmm…such choices! I’m actually more of a savory girl – Kettle BBQ Chips are my jam – but when I go for sweet, I go for those Lindt chocolates. They actually melt in your mouth and I DIG that! For baked goods, I’m a basic bitch – chocolate chip cookies with milk.

  7. denise says:

    homemade chocolate chip cookies

  8. Marci says:

Cinnamon rolls! With cream cheese frosting. I always have cinnamon candles going if nothings baking. Thanks so much for the lovely giveaway!

  9. Billi says:

I love a good gingersnap, especially in the winter.

  10. Tracy W. says:

Brownies! Just thinking about them makes my mouth water!

  11. Abby Normal says:

    Salted chocolate fudge!

  12. Jessica c says:

Peppermint bark is what I look forward to every holiday season

  14. Shannon Vitale Wilson says:

Oh lord this is the contest for me! I love me some James Fraser! Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to my favorite Bitches!!

  15. Erinn says:

Uuungh, I just finished making my holiday favorite: coconut almond crisp cookies. If that sounds weird, well, it is. I have 4 autoimmune conditions, which means my diet is *super* restricted to avoid flares, but it didn’t stop me from figuring out how to make holiday cookies for myself out of ingredients I can eat (and when I sneak them into cookie trays, other people like them, too!)

Obviously, I will be eating these over the stack of novels I am pretty sure my family got me, because I shook all the presents. I am a menace.

  17. Jenny P says:

Most recently, it’s been chocolate-covered gummy bears but traditionally I love snacking on popcorn while reading. 🙂

  18. Katie says:

Christmas sugar cookies and buckeye balls

  19. kitkat9000 says:

I will be baking my all-time favorite cake this evening: Devil’s food chocolate with cream cheese frosting. Yes, I know it’s not really reading friendly; however, with my Kindle propped up on the table and a tall glass of iced milk, I’m in my very own heaven and don’t care.

Happy Holidays to everyone! And may 2017 not only be better than 2016, may it not turn into the dumpster fire we’re all dreading. Best wishes.

  20. Lora says:

Garret’s caramel corn. I could eat buckets of it.

  21. Maryjane says:

    Easy choice! Molasses Crinkles.

  22. Sarah says:

Fudge! Especially peppermint fudge, I make the best!

  23. ElaineBee says:

Sticky buns with pecans on top, or maybe cream cheese icing.

  24. rm2h says:

I love Hershey Dark Chocolate mini – the ones that have nuts, plain and rice. I have to special order to get the best price. But they definitely make the reading pleasurable.

  25. Shaney says:

Home made Walnut chocolate chip cookies

  26. Yaara says:

Will I be kicked out if I say Doritos? They’re so trashy-addictive. But I try not to indulge *too* often…

  27. Granea says:

Cheese, oatmeal dark chocolate chips, and dried cherries.

  28. Mel says:

Cookies baked with my bestie! Baking and books are better with a buddy.

  29. mtnbikergirl says:

    Orange Rolls. Yum!

  30. Emily says:

I like crunchy things, but it’s hard to keep my hands cleans. Maybe something I could eat one-handed while reading on a Kindle. Also, holiday desserts, no matter what they are are always good with books. And coffee cakes and coffee.

  31. Beth says:

In general brownies are my favorites, but I really miss my mom’s baking. Cream cheese iced shortbread cutout cookies, strudel, Hungarian kokash (like strudel, but chocolate filled), the list goes on and on. Happy Hanukkah!

  32. Utahmtnbiker says:

    Orange Rolls. Yum!

  33. Stephanie says:

PEZ! Doesn’t get your fingers dirty and won’t slow down reading.

  34. Tea Tea says:

My SUPER guilty pleasure recently has been Ben & Jerry’s Milk and Cookies flavored ice cream.

  35. Adele Buck says:

This time of year, I make a ton of julekake (Norwegian holiday bread with cardamom, candied citron, dates, raisins, and walnuts). So buttered julekake toast and tea!!

  36. Sue says:

Sorry if this double post. My first post disappeared.

Anyway I love my homemade pumpkin cookies. I can fool myself that they are healthy.

  37. Isabelle T says:

Much as I love baking, I don’t actually eat a lot of sweets – dumping them on others is more my style. But oh boy, I could eat *so many* crossaints/pain au chocolat.

  38. Avital Ordan says:

    Chocolate

  39. Ruth says:

Sweet Potato & Roasted Onion Triscuits are my kryptonite.

  40. Vanessa says:

The list of goodies are long, but I’m a fan of savory, so the one baked good I can’t turn down is a good ham and cheese croissant! Which I guess with ham isn’t the best Hanukkah Treat but there it is!
